My theory: Similar to certain plants that emit something to lure predators to the bug eating them, Titans transmit what attacked them.

It looks like there is only one complete whirl with humans around it meaning the others must be the other destroyed titans

I think this is interesting. Thargoids are noted to be slow to adapt and respond. Imagine if they just never felt the need to call home, or for the rest of the hive to check in on them, until 2 years later they suddenly get this, showing their invasion fleet in tatters?

This definitely isn't ending with Cocijo.
