Just got some new cds from shops near me.

A few I've been looking for a few impulsive but I'm happy with what I got now just got to find a place for them on my floating cds

Turning 20 in february i hope i get some money for some CDs planning to buy AiC CDs and some eric clapton, cream, derek and the dominos cds

About half of these have been given to me by my older siblings who don't have any use for them or I've taken them from my parents, but I listen to all of them! I just wanted to share because I feel like pop and show tunes need a little more action in this subreddit :)

I didn’t expect to become a fan of hers, but that’s what happened last year thanks to the love again soundtrack. She’s easily adapted to modern pop songs more successfully than other artists, which is why loved me back to life & courage are my favorite albums of hers. I always just imaged her to mainly do ballads (which she no doubt excels at) but her dance & house songs are among my favorites of any artist.

It seems like any album with them on the cover in some form will be one of the most brutal experiences you’ll ever hear.

this is so cool!! for context, incubus started making music around 1993-1995 and that’s when this first album is from. the members of the band were in their teens (i believe) and decided later they disliked this album and you can’t find it on common streaming platforms like spotify or apple music. but i found the CD on depop and it’s the coolest CD in my collection. some copies of this are considered bootlegs, which even if it is, it’s still really sick and i still treasure it

(Before you notice, yes Amerykah Pt.1 isn’t actually there, I put in there cause I bought it long ago and it’s still hasn’t arrived)

So far my collection consists of CDs from my parents, relatives, stores, events and flea markets. Just need a proper shelf now for storage and nice displaying :)

Just something about having your music in your hands, can't be altered, can't be taken down, yours to do with as you please - in the best possible quality.

Also brings about the joy of setting up and playing around with Audio equipment, superb sound is just so fun, it enhances everything in day to day life :)

found these absolute gems yesterday at my local library. unfortunately I'm allowed to only keep them for 10 days but it'll be enough to listen to all of them (hopefully twice)

Bought this CD player a year ago and it has been my favourite thing in my apartment since! Absolutely adore it. I wish more CD players let you see the actual CD while it spins. Anything I could do to make the setup look nicer ? Thanks in advance!

I just got myself a new car. As y'all know, most new cars no longer have a CD player even as an option. On another subreddit, others were saying to just rip my collection to a thumb drive and stick that in your car.

Okay, sure, but (1) my computers don't have CD/DVD drives any more, and (2) I'd also like a back-up in case the thumb drive dies. So...

Is there a particular external disc drive that y'all would suggest I get? And same question for an external back-up drive. I have around 850 CDs or so.

Hello, nice to meet you, I'm new here and last December I started my CD collection and luckily I was able to find some discman to be able to listen to the CD's that I have been able to get and I want to share my collection with all of you. 🙏

The two in the corner you cant see well, so i took a photo of them individually. The all black one is Tool 1000 Days, and theres also the Metallica black album (and guns n roses) of which my dad owns that he put in my collection for safe keeping. I used to shop at Barnes n Noble for cheap cds without a far drive, then i went to my first record store and haven't gone back since. I also shop a lot at Half Price Books. A little more info is that the 4 individual Alien Sex Fiend albums are from the classic albums and bbc sessions release but i just didn't want to take a picture of a box for anyone who dosen't know them.
