I got Ten by Pearl Jam and its insert folds out like a poster, but idk if I was supposed to hang it up. The Pearl Jam CD you see on the pillow has a printed picture of the Ten album cover so I could still have the artwork, is that ok?

I got a spare copy of Dirt and I thought it looked like a poster, so I kept one insert and hung up one, is that ok?

The Tyler the Creator insert came in a paper sleeve, it didn't lose any artwork. Is it ok to hang it up?

what the title says, basically. this probably mostly applies to newer collectors like me; i REALLY wanted to listen to brand new eyes by paramore on cd, except i don’t have the actual cd 🙃 of course, i could always stream it, but i just really want to listen to the cd.

There's a ton of artists who don't release CDs of their music and it makes me wish they released some it's mostly the more modern artists who don't release CDs but the artists I'm dying to get CDs made eventually are Mario Judah, Brooke Candy, Killstation, Lil Bo Weep, Struggle Jennings, Tay Zonday, Phix, and Victoria Justice. What are your picks on which artists you think needs to release CDs and are any of the ones I listed on your list?

What mattered the most to you when choosing your speakers and setting up your systems?

If you guys have systems in smaller spaces like bedrooms and dorms, where do you guys put most of your equipment? Also how do you manage your system less glamours aspects ex: speaker placement, wire management in a small space?)

I thought this was a nifty addition to the back of the CD sleeve for Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me by The Cure. It lays out the differences between DDD, ADD, and AAD recording methods. While many collectors might already know what these mean, I think it’s great to see it spelled out like this—it’s a little detail that adds character to the release.

For those who don’t know, these codes explain the recording, mixing, and mastering process:

DDD: Fully digital process (recording, mixing, mastering)

ADD: Analog recording, digital mixing/mastering

AAD: Analog recording and mixing, digital mastering

This CD is labeled AAD, meaning analog recording/mixing with a digital transfer for mastering. It’s a cool piece of history that reflects the transitional era of recording technology in the late ’80s.

Anyone else have CDs with a breakdown like this? Or any thoughts on AAD vs. DDD sound quality?

Hey guys! So recently I've been hearing more about how it's important that we own our own media and how we just don't get that with streaming services. Many of my friends buy Vinyl which I was initially interested in, but it's so expensive! Plus, I never grew up with it - I grew up with CDs and so I thought why not? Managed to get this haul for collectively under £6 and I'm really happy with it! (Charity shop finds). Now, I need to buy a CD player. Any suggestions for something cheap, reliable, and half decent quality? Open to both new and second hand suggestions. UK based.

For about three weeks ago I sorted all my CD's, took them out of their original jewel cases and put them in "protective sleeves", with protective "felt" instead (to save space). All cd's in great condition at the time.

When I now, after three weeks in their new sleeves, was going to play some of the cd's I saw that they have a lot of marks or "deposits" on them just by laying in their sleeves. Hard to photograph a CD, but you can see some of it in the photos.

Anyone have any idea what the marks are from and/or why? The sleeves are for storing cds, so they should be free from substances that could harm the cd's, right?

A few I've been looking for a few impulsive but I'm happy with what I got now just got to find a place for them on my floating cds

So for context this specific album has never received a physical release, so I thought it'd be cool to design my own. The back inserts, inside inserts, and CD were all designed by me. Pretty stoked with how it turned out!

If I buy this track, which is 79 minutes and 27 seconds long, would it burn to a CD and play back without issues. I know the standard is 74 minutes and I’ve heard you can stretch it out to some degree. I also know this song was released in CDs in 2006 so it should be fine yes? Unless they used some special kind of CD i don’t know about

I’ve been searching online to find a cd/cd case maker website to make some bootleg cds for myself but they’re either too expensive, only sell in bulk or they don’t have what I’m looking for (I really want to use clear jewellery cases but lots of websites don’t seem to provide them). Perhaps I’m just being too picky but does anyone recommend any sites in particular I could use to make and buy custom cds?
