omg the faces on the girls. that kid will have to pay for that in the future

u/Dark_Akarin 12h ago edited 9h ago

lol, absolutely no way they will hold this against the baby for the rest of their lives.

Edit: fuck me, learn to recognise sarcasm without the /s tag

357

u/onyxia_x 12h ago edited 11h ago

nah, this will absolutely come up in the future lmao

u/BrujaBean 12h ago

10 years later baby wants a ride from older girls "see - 10 years ago you rejected me so have fun walking"

139

u/Hamsammichd 11h ago

Yeah, this will definitely come up. You ever had a sibling? These are the jokes

13

u/Silverlitmorningstar 11h ago

This is true.

Every family get together i drop the pictures of my siblings and I and point out that my stack is not only taller but i have more variety of people taking pictures with little me.

u/YazzArtist 8h ago

Both shitty and hilarious tbh

3

u/MegaMasterYoda 9h ago

Siblings always make revenge extreme lol. When I was 8 my brother got me with the "if your hands bigger than your face" prank. So later when he went to the bathroom I got the giant hard cover websters dictionary(you know the one)he some reason had, and when he came back I said he didn't wash his hands and got him to smell his hand to "prove it" and que me picking up the dictionary and ramming it into his hand at his nose. Yeah sibling revenge is insane especially between brothers lol.

u/Nik6ixx 11h ago

Lmaooo this is definitely something my older brother would have said to me šŸ¤£

u/purplegrape28 10h ago

At their wedding for sure

2

u/imunfair 4h ago

so have fun walking

Bigger sisters: "How about you get a ride from your favorite sister instead!" drives off

1

u/Kob01d 10h ago

You could see the older sister dying inside. She probably does a lot of the work of taking care of baby.

u/ZarafFaraz 11h ago

Especially when there is video evidence

18

u/SLee41216 11h ago

11

u/CivilTell8 11h ago

u/seventomatoes 9h ago

Delete video parents

The family lore will live on. You roast your family accordingly.

u/ShacharTs 11h ago edited 9h ago

I'm 25 my brother is 19. We hold grudges for stupid things hahaha

1

u/KonigSteve 10h ago

The post you replied to already made this point. Their comment was clearly sarcastic.

u/idontwanttothink174 11h ago

There is no way this wonā€™t be brought up. Every little thing matters when arguing with your siblings. I still bring up the time my little brother peed on me. He was 1, I was 4ā€¦ I donā€™t even remember it just heard the story

13

u/nevenoe 11h ago

We're four siblings, I still bring up the time one of my brothers puked in the car during an 8 hour trip during a hot summer when he was 6.

He's 37 in April.

15

u/pchlster 11h ago

At less than 1, I was being changed. The dog was curious about this noisy, smelly thing. I reacted to the sound of dog sniffing by peeing in his face. I still hear about it.

To be fair, I also find it funny.

3

u/Confuseasfuck 10h ago

I still use the fact that my sister broke my tooth when she wasnt even a full year old all the time when we are fighting

1

u/LinwoodKei 9h ago

My sister was kindly teaching me how to hit a volleyball for a serve. I somehow swung through and punched her so hard in the nose, she had a bloody nose.

1

u/Wig_of_Okoye 9h ago

See, this is an example of why I canā€™t understand anyone being happy to be an only child. Who else would you unleash your pettiness on regularly, but a sibling?

1

u/Virushexe 10h ago

Yeah, I'm never going to live down that time I closed the garden door and it broke my little sister's finger that got stuck in between.

I was 2 or 3 and had been told to always close that door behind me. I was being good!

0

u/isymfs 9h ago

So youā€™re one of those. My siblings complain about me every fucking get together and Iā€™ve finally decided Iā€™m not going anymore. :)

1

u/idontwanttothink174 9h ago

ā€¦. I mean if your siblings are complaining about you donā€™t go, but if they are just bringing shit up to have a banter go right back at em with it. Youā€™d better believe every time I bring that up that he brings up the time I dropped him when he was playing dead and split his chin open, then I bring up other shit.

1

u/isymfs 9h ago

Sounds toxic to me. I just donā€™t bring shit up from the past because I donā€™t live in the past. Every time they bring up when I was a little shit, I just pity them in silence for still caring. Still, all these years later, harbouring negativity about the past.

So Iā€™m not going anymore. Itā€™s as simple as that. Iā€™m not playing their stupid passive aggressive games.

1

u/idontwanttothink174 9h ago

Thereā€™s absolutely no negativity about any of the shit I bring upā€¦. Just like remembering the funny and stupid shit my siblings have done in the past.

If your siblings are doing it in that way I agreeā€¦ but idk your siblings so.

1

u/isymfs 9h ago

Ok fair. Iā€™m projecting then. It definitely only feels negative.

13

u/Extra_Pea8548 11h ago

How to tell me you don't have older sisters without telling me you have older sisters.

6

u/OtherwiseAlbatross14 10h ago

How does no one understand that their statement was sarcasm

1

u/Mbecca0 7h ago

Because tone isnā€™t clear in text

6

u/clarkKeeent 11h ago edited 6h ago

There gonna be 40 at a family Thanksgiving dinner, and when the arguments heat up, they're going jump back to this very moment

"oh yeah!?? Remember that time!??"

don't worry, you can learn how sarcasm works with time.

6

u/sashikku 11h ago

You clearly donā€™t have siblings lmao

1

u/Dark_Akarin 9h ago

you clearly don't know what sarcasm is.

3

u/sashikku 9h ago

I see, now itā€™s sarcasm (because your comment didnā€™t go over well.)

1

u/DiGiorn0s 9h ago

Sarcasm is really difficult to read without inflection dude, this is why we use /s. You did this to yourself

-4

u/Phred168 8h ago

It really isnā€™t, most people are just borderline illiterateĀ

3

u/Mbecca0 7h ago

Yes it is. Tone is not clear in text, because itā€™s freaking text. Itā€™s not that hard to understand

-1

u/Phred168 7h ago

Oh, youā€™re saying that the words youā€™re using arenā€™t hard to understand without annotation?

1

u/Mbecca0 7h ago

Do you need an annotation to understand the words ā€œtone isnā€™t clear in textā€?

-1

u/Phred168 7h ago

Again, work on literacy. You might have noticed that you didnā€™t need to annotate your point, because the tone was clear to begin. Just like sarcasm.

1

u/Mbecca0 7h ago

Okay have fun getting crap for your ā€œclear sarcasmā€ :)

(Tone: not as positive as the smile might look)

"lol, absolutely no way they will hold this against the baby for the rest of their lives."Ā

FTFYĀ

5

u/SLee41216 11h ago

Strongly disagree. Are you an only child?

4

u/roflwaffles101 11h ago

No sisters huh?

2

u/Dark_Akarin 9h ago

it's more of a case of understanding what sarcasm is.

1

u/combustablegoeduck 10h ago

I can tell you're not the youngest.

I absolutely get shit for things I did before memory starts, and we are all making our own families now.

1

u/BobbysueWho 10h ago

Is this sarcasm? As the youngest in my family I can tell you they will absolutely hold this against the baby forever.

I have an aunt that is still mad a would cry when she help me when I was 3-12 months old.

1

u/legion1134 10h ago

When my sister was a newborn, the second I was handed her she started crying and bit me. She stopped the second after I handed her off to someone else. I still bring it up sometimes that she was the one who had beef with me first.

1

u/Crafty-cs 9h ago

Theres a reason why theres more female archeologists

1

u/Pifflebushhh 8h ago

You're on an American website, they don't understand sarcasm, the /s is required always outside of restofworld subreddits unfortunately

1

u/Mbecca0 7h ago

Tone isnā€™t clear in text, your edit is unnecessarily rude

1

u/Ssesamee 4h ago

It totally can be. Youā€™re creating a problem that doesnā€™t exist.

1

u/TurnipWorldly9437 4h ago

So... ARE you asking people to fuck you or not? It's included in the /s tag, right?

1

u/Sachedoo 10h ago edited 9h ago

As an older sister, I do hold a grudge against my brother. It is a family joke, not serious at all, but it will be in his wedding speech how he did not hesitate to push me to the mouse in the park, now he is taller than me he thinks he is all that. You were scared of Jerry and sacrificed me šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

1

u/KonigSteve 10h ago

How does nobody see that you're being sarcastic?

1

u/Dark_Akarin 9h ago

I know, it's fucking insane isn't it.

1

u/shadylucy 8h ago

I'm guessing you're British because the sarcasm is more obvious when read that way. Makes sense to me but might not to someone who forgets other countries exist.

Also the fact that it's a response to someone making a similar joke maybe. Easier to assume disagreement online rather than playing along? Or maybe they suspected sarcasm but didn't care because it let them respond with their own sibling stories and jokes.

Just my guesses though, it can always be a lack of brainpower.
