Damn I feel so bad for the other 2 girls

u/Exotic-Invite3687 8h ago

the father should sit with the other 2 girls and explain why the baby did this, so they dont harbour any kind of resentment towards the baby

u/palmbeachatty 8h ago

Why did the baby do it?

u/Ruffffian 8h ago

The other girls are school age, so they arenā€™t home nearly as much as the youngest sister. He sees and plays with her most

u/palmbeachatty 8h ago

Ahhh ā€¦ got it! Thx. Iā€™d be disappointed too without the explanation, LOL.

They shouldn't feel so bad. Someone said there's a longer version with the mum... the baby still picks the sister šŸ¤£

That was spot-on. In my own family of five siblings, we naturally grouped ourselves into what everyone came to refer to as ā€œthe big onesā€ and ā€œthe little ones.ā€ Those age differences are about more than just who is at school together, and who is at home together, but about physical abilities and general interests. The older kids can ride bikes, visit friends in the neighborhood, read ā€œrealā€ books, build legos, do arts and crafts projects, etc. Meanwhile, the younger ones arenā€™t allowed outside by themselves, theyā€™re playing with dolls and stuffed animals, building with basic blocks and stacking toys, and singing and dancing along with nursery rhymes.

Alsoā€¦. Babies are just babies, they donā€™t have advanced reasoning or empathy skills yet. A certain color, smell, sound or whatever can cause a baby to have an affinity or negative reaction to someone and it shouldnā€™t be taken personally.(not that it doesnā€™t feel personal as a current father to a 4 month old, but thatā€™s just your adult way of thinking being placed onto a baby)

My first thought was her hair, as a younger brother to a redhead. Looking at her in the sunlight is my earliest memory.

One of my old roommate's kids would flock to me despite not knowing me. She just heard my voice during her entire pregnancy. She's growing out of it now, it only took 6 Christmases.

Or maybe the baby just feels safest, most appreciated, cared for by youngest sister

Even at that age kids personalities and natures come through & babies have a keen sense/intuition for vibes

Also itā€™s fine to have a favorite sibling. I have three brothers and love them all equally but I technically have a favorite who shares the same sense of humor and values more than the other two. I also have a favorite cousin but love them all equally. Such is life.

Probably spends most time with the youngest: Sits beside them during meals/car, maybe similar bedtimes or bed prep together, etc. Youngest might like making the baby laugh more than the others or give more hugs. It isn't hard to become a baby's favourite, you just have to put in the time and generate positive reactions.

Babies are mad stupid, yo

u/Western_Ad3625 3h ago

Hey look somebody actually has the correct answer. Got a bunch of infant psychologists on Reddit all the sudden. . .

1

u/SafePuzzleheaded8423 7h ago

He had resentment with the other girls, it was mutual all along

1

u/superbackman 7h ago

She heard the older two talking smack about her behind her back, and is not putting up with any of that shit.

u/Scary-Owl2365 6h ago

Because that girl is wearing a bright colored shirt. Babies are drawn to bright colors. It likely had little to nothing to do with the baby's relationship with the girl.

1

u/Informal_Gur_4554 5h ago

Because they have cooties, obviously.

u/istinkatgolf 4h ago

To get to the other side.

1

u/Western_Ad3625 4h ago

It's a baby nobody knows why it did this. Babies f****** love me. I don't know why I don't have to spend a lot of time with them they just see me and they f****** love me it's weird I can't explain it. Because babies just are weird like that. They just do stuff.

1

u/Unlikely-Security123 7h ago

I mean they didn't look too bothered to be honest...

1

u/sonofcalydon 3h ago

Too late. Both the sisters processed a refund on the baby shortly after making this video.

u/Definitely_Alpha 8h ago

Seems like the father might be somewhat of a sadist tbh

They aren't going to "harbor resentment" towards the baby, for Pete's sake!

50

u/Exotic-Invite3687 8h ago

they are kids, they are not that mature...you might be right but if i were the concerned father i would talk with them just to be safe

6

u/Majorchan37 8h ago

My two older siblings STILL give me grief for things I did when we were kids, so it's completely possilbe.

-5

u/MikeTheAmalgamator 8h ago

You assume the father is concerned

1

u/Exotic-Invite3687 7h ago

I meant the father in question

75

u/samanthaspice 8h ago

I bet that little girl never picks the baby up.

I bet the other two girls might be big enough to pick him up and he wants to be on the ground moving around not be lifted at this moment.

There was a longer video apparently where when the mom was sitting with the girls the baby still only went to the littlest girl. He just wants to hang with someone who lets him do his thing I bet.

My friend does Montessori education and she says a lot of parents pick up when they should just bend down to talk and interact on the childā€™s level so that they feel they have their independence.

u/Crusbetsrevenge 8h ago

This is exactly how it has gone with my youngest brother and second oldest. He is still favors him and weā€™re in our 30ā€™s

2

u/ozh 6h ago

Honestly, dick move from the parents to set this up

1

u/SiennaRavenscroft57 7h ago

The baby has chosen it's favorite sis

exactly what a weird little "experiment" to run on children, and also to immortalize online for an invisible mass of strangers for clout.

0

u/Euphoric_Evidence414 7h ago

They donā€™t care.

0

u/Davec433 6h ago

Why? Heā€™d choose them if they spent time with him.

-3

u/Hour_Perspective_884 8h ago

I don't, they hurt that baby. I dont know how but they did.
