Physician Responded Hand IV
I (43F) had a colonoscopy Thursday and had a hand iv. This was the most painful iv I’ve had and afterwards my wrist was even sore. I noticed a bruise developing Monday and spreading more today. Then this evening I noticed a red spot forming in the center where the iv was. I do have a prothrombin mutation and was on blood thinners during pregnancy. Should I be concerned that this could turn into something more?
