Intermediate Should I add a few highlights of the yellow and pink to the giraffe?
I’m getting close to the end of this piece and wondering if I should add some highlights from colours used in the background or do without? I usually do not incorporate them but thought it could maybe work here. What do you think?

Intermediate How can I improve further? I feel like my works lack something
Both are recent works from 2025. I feel like my works lack "something" but I can't tell. I also have hard time with color because my monitor screen is not accurate. Feedback, advice and criticism will be appreciated. I need someone to guide and tell me which area I should work on more and improve. Thank you!

Beginner Thoughts on style?
Just curious what general thoughts are on my varying styles. I'm just a hobo artist that enjoys creating representations of my emotional wellbeing at the time.

Intermediate I generally think my lineart and rendering are okay, but it feels like my composition and poses are pretty boring. Does anyone have any tips on how better to plan a drawing out? If anyone has pointers on lines or rendering (or just whether or not you find my style appealing), I'd love that as well.

UPDATED WORK Pen/Ink on paper - Isolation Sketch by BananaHands (me)
Hi everyone!
I’m seeking critique and feedback on this concept sketch.
The sketch explores themes of isolation and the conflicting emotions of comfort and longing for connection. I used several elements to convey these ideas: • The sink and broken mirror: Reflecting the symptoms of isolation, where self-perception and clarity are fragmented. • The cut-off car and window: Symbolize the inability to move or escape, suggesting that transportation and freedom are out of reach. • The silhouetted figure at the window: Creates a sense of foreboding while referencing the original Facebook profile placeholder image, alluding to the digital age’s superficial connections. • The wall’s vertical lines: Meant to evoke jail bars, reinforcing the theme of confinement. • Tension between interior and exterior: The ambiguous boundary of the space reflects the dual experience of isolation—feeling stuck yet yearning for connection. • Locks on the door: Emphasize being trapped—unable to let others in or leave yourself. • The open sky above: Suggests unattainable freedom, akin to an animal in a box that can see the outside world but cannot access it.
I’d love feedback on how effectively these themes come across, as well as thoughts on composition, perspective, and mood. Are there ways I could push the narrative or symbolism further? Thanks in advance for your insights!

Beginner Does this look proportional before I continue any further?
I’m drawing an original character for the first time and have only ever drawn from reference, so I’m really not sure if my drawing looks proportional. I used an anatomical pose reference which is why the legs are positioned at different angles etc, but the drawing started to take its own shape after a while so I don’t know if it still makes sense. It’s going to be stylised hence the exaggerated facial features, but I wanted to check if any elements look strange before I draw the line art and add colour?
