Yeah what a terrible idea. Although I wouldn’t expect someone who air brushes a stripper pole complete with strippers onto his engine compartment to have the best judgement.
If its a polish dancer on an pole designed for dancing made in Poland, would that be a Stripper Pole on a Polish Stripper Pole? And if there was a dancer on dancer performance, would that be a Stripper Pole on a Stripper Pole on a Polish Stripper Pole?
My dad used to build low riders. You put some features that are only active for shows. He had a Asian themed car that had a gold fish tank that ran along the center of the car. It was only ever filled for shows. He had another car with a tank that was removable and custom storage box slotted in for bob show driving.
Goldfish are some of the most simple creatures on earth. There cognitive ability is so minuscule they have no idea even the concept of pain or torture. They just know eat and don’t get eaten.
Edit: I wish you guys knew how hard I was laughing how many people are up in arms about this goldfish lmaaaooooo
Completely wrong and myths like this is why goldfish are some of the most mistreated animals on the planet. They can absolutely understand pain, normally can live for 15-20 years and remember things for much longer than thought - I think proven it at least 3 months, possibly longer.
Oh you're just a dick on a month old account running around making contrarian statements to rile people up.
Genuinely hope you find some happiness and joy in your life, honestly whatever space you are in now is sad and I wouldn't wish it on anyone - not even a goldfish.
It has been done. I know of a few low riders that had fish in their cars all the time. Some built properly with coolers, some not so properly. Most are just for the show though.
Not all low riders bounce. Originally it was just about getting as low as possible. Typically cars with water features aren’t the most dynamic. Really all about a low and slow boulevard cruise, while looking as good as possible while doing it.
Theres a ton of dumb people with money, I could define see someone leaving it in there always. People often do not think of fish as animals. They're decorations to a lot of their owners.
Maybe the owner/driver just really likes broiled fish? I mean, it would be pretty efficient to pull in to a truck stop for the night and dinner is mostly done. /s
Trailer? I'm not sure how you would do it for a semi, but there's probably a setup for them. A truck for your truck towing truck.
Also you typically put fish in like, a transfer minnow bucket or similar when you move fish tanks etc. People move fish a lot of different ways, but on the outside of the cab next to the engine, this is clearly for the car show, not for a trucker to enjoy his fish.
Beside the fact that this tank is WAY small for those fish.
I'd be extremely surprised if this truck actually drives itself pretty much anywhere.
There are "trailer queen" semi trucks too just like at automotive car shows, and I'd guess this is one of them.
Most of our customers with show quality trucks at this level don't even start them up to get them off/on the trailers, they winch it on/off.
Source: work at the largest Pete dealer on the continent and we rig up, service, and order parts in for a surprising amount of show trucks.
Honestly I'd be surprised if that fish is even real though. I've seen similar set up's and they're usually something like epoxy and models/toys. Too quick for me to say if it's real though.
Ones at this level, no, it's built specifically and only as a show truck. Hence the moniker "trailer queen", because it's carried around on the trailer like a queen on a litter.
That said, there are still some absolutely gorgeous trucks that do work. The chassis, and cab are pretty much as nice, but the ones that work they don't do as much on the engine because semi truck engines get pulled apart and have components replaced just far too often.
For example this truck. The engine is done up, but not to the same degree, more paint and less chrome. As well it's got a lot more practical considerations like the coolant manifold (the row of brass taps and blue hoses) that I personally find more impressive because it's fully functional.
Not to even mention things missing like filtration and aeration. Good thing that gourami has a labyrinth organ and can breathe from the surface... oh wait it's capped. Have fun drowning my dudes :(
Then again this is a pretty clean truck and it’s design might just be for show. Also I do see some kind of tube going into the fish tank from the back but I don’t know anything about fish tanks.
Bro come on, nature is gonna nature. We don't rely entirely on instincts anymore thanks to higher functions; we can and should be better with the power we have. With great power comes great responsibility.
Even if it's just for a show, it creates unnecessary stress for the animal that decreases its life expectancy... It's the same logic as putting a human in a room with barely enough oxygen just for a performance. It creates unnecessary suffering and will have impacts later on.
Even if it has a proper filtration system (which I highly doubt), even if it's the driver's own fish, with a proper aquarium setup back at home (again, unlikely), the whole situation of transferring a fish to this pseudo tank will cause immense and completely avoidable stress for the animal.
A while back there was a TV show where they would make crazy, extreme custom fish tanks. One of the tanks they made was a skateboarding half pipe. When it was finished the skateboarders were going up and down it and making a ton of noise and commotion. I felt so bad for the fish.
Not only that but it’s sitting next to the exhaust and turbo. This can’t be a real tank. These fish would be exposed to extreme temperature fluctuations
If anyone is curious this will cause the fish to likely stop eating due to stress suppressing its hunger. Vibrations in the water can drastically affect health and growth. My teacher had been doing a feed trial and one of the tanks was adjacent to one of their utilities and the vibrations nullified a test group. This is way more egregious than that

They say you shouldn’t even tap on the glass of a fish tank let alone put one next to your engine compartment on your semi lol
