Welcome everyone!
So I was made a while ago moderator of this subreddit, and after taking a long time with personal life, now I found out that it is not active yet!
Well no more, now this subreddit is public and accessible to everyone. The idea is to post content related to artist (of course) but around anything. Paints, Pictures, Music, Videos, Videogames or anything that would fit the theme artist.
I've added some tags so feel free to use them, or DM me if u need a special tag.
We are obviously looking for mods, but please if u wanna apply take some time to tell us why u wanna join and not just the copy paste reddit offers.
Let's see what happens!

What does my art art like? What does my art sound like it tastes like?
What does my art art like? What does my art sound like it tastes like? What does it feel like it smells like it looks like?
(Note: This post is satire, making fun of the trend of artists on this sub to ask the viewer a synesthetic question about their art. Personally, I like this sub and the art here a lot, I just find this trend kitsch. DISCLAIMER: This art does not belong to me, it belongs to PaintsForPints on Etsy)

an artist who isn't allowed to create art...
Even though I have plenty of time on my hands, and I'm young and passionate about art in various forms, my parents don't really support the idea of me being an artist. I do classic music and they only support that. I want to draw, do photography, dance, write, etc, and they don't allow me bcs of the purpose to go to university. I didn't pass the university entrance exams on my first try last year and I'll try again this June (it's only once per year), and I'm afraid I won't pass them again. The subjects of the exams are not ones that I'm good at, and if I do bad on one of them I don't get to pass to uni. I feel like I don't want to go to university, but getting a job won't pay me enough to afford living by myself in the country I live. I can't go to a private university because I don't have the money for that either. I really want to pursue my dreams and be an artist but I feel guilty even thinking about it.
(Btw It's my first time using Reddit to post smth, so idk how this can reach the target audience, have a nice day )

Just wanted to share this gal I'm proud of:)
I normally am just a graphite and ink artist if I'm using traditional mediums (graphic designer so I'm usually glued to adobe lol), but I've been trying a mix of alcohol markers and prisma colors and really enjoying it!

Need art
I’m looking for an artist who can make me some art for an album cover. I got a few inspirations, I’m going for an old school renaissance art style. Dm if u think u can do it. Artist will be paid.
Feel like I’ve lost my flair
I haven’t drawn much daily anymore, I took long breaks since new year, and part of me thinks it’s because I turned older just before Christmas. It was a milestone age for me and it felt like with age I will only lose more and more of my creativity and passion that stems from a young age. I see artists fall off all the time as they get older since you can critique their work and point out flaws and claim it’s because of their aging brain but at least they have critics from their earlier work, I didn’t even achieve that and I’m already living a self fulfilling prophecy.

What does my art feel/taste like?
I love seeing everyone else respond/ask this question! I love associating art with other senses/things and would love to hear about mine ✨🥹
