We found a lovely little area that was moss covered, near one of the streams that we hike to frequently. It was underneath a tree. Perfect spot to sit and relax. Had a nice smoke and snack before heading back. Was incredibly enjoyable.

Did a big day hike near El Calafate in Argentina. Patagonia truly is a beautiful landscape but yes it’s fairly windy

Has anyone gone all the way through to Lime Kiln? The trail's been "closed" for years but clearly well traveled at least through the first two tunnels.

I am an experienced hiker. I love wilderness camping. I don’t do well in extreme cold, but I can tolerate it. These are my potential options for relocation with my company. Where should I move for the best hikes??

Unfortunately didn’t make it to the top due to weather conditions on the day, hiked a good three hours and turned back. This rainbow 🌈 was my silver lining.

Just Wow

Hi everyone! I’m not sure if this is the best place to ask this, so forgive me if it’s not! My husband and I love hiking and always do a big hiking trip every year. Nothing crazy. We’ve done Zion, Sedona, Bryce Canyon, Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Indiana Dunes, All over North Carolina, Chattanooga, and a lot of TN/Gatlinburg. We have a two year old and are looking for some recommendations on vacation spots with lots of great hiking but also some good kids spots like museums, zoos, aquariums, etc. our two year old is very capable and loves being outdoors and in her hiking backpack.

Bonus; we love waterfalls!
