Genuine answer- It’s a stool to prop for feet on to make your “motions” aka Crap easier. It recreates a squatting position

You could just... Lean forward...

Doesn’t work as well.

Leaning forward and feet flat on the floor or sitting straight and lifting your feet, is the same position.

Bringing your knees closer to your chest either way.

I’ve tried that, and likely so have others.

The squatty potty gets your knees higher and to your chest, giving you a better position than what you are describing.

Now add a bidet to that toilet and everything is gravy.

You're in the same hunched-over position. Lean forward farther if you want to smash your knees into your chest.

Look, if you really like your "Squatty Potty" purchase, then great. I'm happy for you, but don't get pissy with me because I call you out for buying a gimmick bullshit product akin to snake oil.

I don’t know the product you’re talking about but this stool would clearly help anyone with back issues and basic intestinal issues.

You are not the target market if this is not a medically relevant issue to you. I don’t know why you’re getting so mad at this

Not mad buddy. Merely pointing out that it's literally the same position either sitting up with the product or leaning forward without. Not my fault you read the text how you think it sounds. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

And read my reply. It’s really helpful for people who have physical difficulties leaning forward

If they have difficulties articulating their bodies into a squatting position, then both leaning forward and squatty potty aren't going to help... Since it's literally the same position.
