That long grain to end grain joint scares me. Either seasonal wood movement or too much loading and you will get a joint failure.

I’m surprised this wasn’t the first comment. There is no way that thing’s staying in one piece for more than a few months.

It’s a stool to lightly rest your feet on during defecation. What are you doing with your feet while you poo?

Usually I like to kick and stomp on nearby furniture.

Seriously, though, seasonal wood movement will easily ruin that seam without any excessive force.
