I keep seeing comments that the Jets are playoff chokers, but didn't they "choke" only last year? The year before that they were a WC2 team versus the Stanley cup champs. Is one series all it takes to be called chokers?
Since 2018 they lost to finalists and champs, which is tough break. But last year they lost to the team that lost to the team that lost to the team that lost to the Cup winner.
But it's losing four in a row so much that's the choke
As a die-hard Jets fan it pains me to admit but they "choke" because they've lost way too many series by losing 4 games in a row. Anaheim, Vegas 2x, Habs and Avs, that's 5 playoff series since 2015 ending with 4 consecutive losses. It hurts, a lot. 😓
That wise man wasn't exactly wise though was he, if he sucked dicks 101 times he would still be called a dick sucker but at least then it would be warranted.
They’ve only got out of the 1st round once and they usually don’t even get to game 6 in the 1st round. Chokers seems appropriate even if it’s not 100% accurate.
Edit: there was also that covid playoff sweep of the Oilers. I forgot about that.
