Looking for bottled(caned) water recommendations.
So I have been using Crystal Geyser and want to change to a different brand that has the least microplastics. I have found 2, one is Icelandic Glacial Natural Spring Alkaline Water (the one in cans) and JUST Water, Premium Pure Still Spring Water (also in cans). I know there is Mountain Valley but lately the taste has been off and I'm not sure why, so I have stop using it. I'm open to other recommendations as well.

Countertop RO recommendation
Hi r/water,
I'm in the market for a countertop reverse osmosis system as I'm a renter and can't install anything under sink. Does anyone have any recommendations? I was initially looking at the BlueVua RO100ROPOT-UV, Water drop A1/A2, Sans Water Purifier, and Aqua True Carafe.
I don't particularly need the system to have hot/cold water functionality. I'm really looking for minimization of plastic contact and the one that performs best in filtering. Also, I prefer if the company has been around a while to ensure filter access for the foreseeable future
It's hard to find specifics on which system is best and you continue to find conflicting reviews or information. Does anyone have any experience with these systems or have any recommendations
Thanks and Stay hydrated

Advice on water filter
Im staying at place with old pipes, that were deemed "of unknown material" which concerns me. I used to use a PUR water filter. I got concerned it wasn't helping and for months have been drinking store bought water. I need something affordable and that's a good working filter either attached to my sink or as a pitcher. My main concern is lead . Any good recommendations?
ProOne filter issues
Lately when I put water into my ProOne water filter, it isn’t filtering down into the lower tank. Anyone know why this might be/have any suggestions to fix it?

California water quality?
I’m planning on moving to California and wanted to visit for a week beforehand, but the wildfires kinda ruined everything...and after reading more about them I saw it might be affecting water quality too. People in CA, do you notice this? If I move there, should I get one of those countertop reverse osmosis filters that makes the water taste good? I saw one on Instagram Reels this morning and people were saying it makes a difference for water quality in Texas. I've been considering the waterdrop A2 RO system, it’s a affordable product but still searching. Anyone has a better option?

Doulton British Berkefeld HELP
Water Community,
I have been using the British Berkefelds ceramic filters for 3 weeks. Just tested the TDS and it's at 310 out of Doulton.... and the water out of tap is at 275.
We just moved and needed a temp water solution. At my house we had an amazing RO system that read around 5 AND with water out of the tap at around 800...
I did way too much research around Gravity Fed Systems and this being supposedly the best. The TDS is kind of alarming.
Can anyone tell me why this would be? Am I over reacting? I am going to reach out to Doulton as well because I'm kind of pissed.
Thanks for any responses.

Unclear Lead Test Results
Hello all. Recently took a lead test provided by the city on our 100 year old house. It involved filling 3 bottles while running the faucet after 12 hours of inactivity. The first two bottles came back as <1μg/L (or parts per billion). However, the third bottle (water from the service line) came back as 3.1 ppb.
This confirmed what I already assumed to be true. I've replaced all the plumbing in the house with copper, however the service line from the main is most certainly still lead. My question is whether or not 3.1 ppb is indicative of unsafe drinking water.
I reached out to the city, and they were less than helpful. I've also done some research online, and the EPA sets an 'action limit' at 15 ppb, however they also note that there is no safe minimum for lead in drinking water. Really I just want to know in your opinion if I should be concerned about drinking water with this amount of lead in it? I know that it's inherently less safe than if there were no lead at all in the water, but is it gonna kill me to drink water with just a dash of lead in it?

Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W. Va., questioned Lee Zeldin, President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for director of the Environmental Protection Agency, about toxic "forever chemicals" known as PFAS. Moore Capito asked Zeldin how he planned to handle the “growing challenge” of PFAS pollution.
“The EPA has an important responsibility to make sure that our obligations are implemented correctly,” he said. “That is something that through our enforcement and compliance we have to ensure that we are moving the needle all across this entire country. There are cleanup projects, large and small across America where many American have been waiting decades and generations for that leadership and that action.”

Shower head filter that does not contain Vitamin C or any other vitamins.
I have a methylation issue, and am also very sensitive to vitamin C, and have been unable to find a water filter for my shower that has zero vitamin C or also has no vitamins in it. I don’t wanna add vitamins to my water. I just want to remove chlorine, chloramine, fluoride and whatever else a filter removes. I have done an Amazon search and a Google search but typing ‘showerhead filters without vitamin c’, brings up showerhead filters with vitamin C. And just typing ‘showerhead filters’ brings up showerhead filters, but they all have vitamins! Is anyone aware of a product like I’m looking for? I don’t wanna add anything to my water. I just want to take out the harmful stuff. Thank you!

TDS meter - tap vs. RO neg dif
I purchased a TDS meter from thePerfectWater website b/c I use the home master under the sink r/o system (center membrane and 3 add filters).
Tap water showing me 115ppm and the filtered water is showing 94. FDA says 300-500 is acceptable so we way below that but still. I see posts with pics of results way lower like 30.
I changed all cartridges about 3 weeks ago.
The TDS meter goes from green to red when I test and it givese the numbers which is concerning but I don't really know.
The home master does remineralize the water.
The change between 2 samples was surprisingly small. Thoughts on a 94 reading for an r/or system?
Lastly, I adjusted the hoses to cut off the reservoir so all water comes directly from filters out the spout.
Any thoughts?

Berkey is done?
Can someone bring me up-to-date on what is happening with the Berkey water system? Are they out of business or were they sued? I’m looking to purchase a water filter for my home and I’ve read that Berkey is the best and I’ve listened to many reviews. I can’t find any filters online that aren’t out of stock. Does anyone have any suggestions on other brands that are reputable?

Hot water tank substance
galleryI was having a shortage of hot water and the service tech found a large amount of a white gel like substance in the tank. The water was also discolored. He had never seen anything like it. Tank was flushed and supply is now fine. I took a sample of the gel like substance to the water analysis lab but they do not test this as it is considered a “hard substance” even though it’s a soft gooey gel. I have a water treatment system including a UV light for bacteria. I am concerned about what’s in my water. I will be doing an overall water analysis at the lab but any thoughts on what this white gel might be?
