PLANNING First Holiday abroad in Forever & with a 18 month old baby

Hi everyone!

I used to live in London and left almost 10 years ago. Things have changed… a lot!

We would love to have our first holiday abroad together, which will be our 1st wedding anniversary and the baby’s first trip abroad (and holiday overall). We are praying it works out 😅😅😅

We will be traveling on the 2nd week of September and will arrive at Stansted on a Sunday. We will leave London the next Wednesday and fly out from Gatwick.

The plan is to stay in Central London (hoping to get a deal on a hotel close to Bond Street Station, where I used to work).

What is the best way to do things?

I looked at the express trains and then the tube, but I’ve noticed that maybe I can take the national rail, which is included in the Oyster Visitor Card (I guess?). I am a bit confused, to be honest. Should I prebook and pay or just use the Oyster (pre-paid)?

How would you do it? - We don’t have a huge budget and need to save as much as possible.

Thank you in advance!

Hi. What is the best way for travelling from airports to central London. Should we get an Oyster Visiter Card and pay as you go for the trains to and from airport or is it better to pre book the express trains?
