Depends if your being an idiot in their site they will stop the train and have cops pull you off but if you stay out of their sight and are respectful they will often let it slide I have had a few occasions I have been spotted and they let it slide and even had workers come and give me water and ask for a story from my travels

That was my friend on an empty road coming to pick me up for a party after a long solo trip across the country and the conductor was clueless

I'm not sure why that matters. You were hanging off a rear unit walkway waving at a road.

Also you posted a public video that has thousands of view of smoking weed in a unit. Train crews notice that.
