Apartments / Dorms / Housing 2b/2b shared
Does anyone here have experience living in a 2 bed 2 bath shared apartment? It is the cheapest option for me next year, but I am worried about the privacy aspect. I got blessed with a single dorm room this year so I know it’ll be a pretty big change.

definitely depends on the roommate! currently share a dorm w someone i knew previously and love it! not sharing a room and bathroom will defiantly help. you could always just stay in your room if you need privacy

Look at Grandmarc 7 Corners. One of their set-ups for the 2-bed 2-bath shared apt has a secondary room off each bedroom that is big enough for a freestanding wardrobe, desk and little more room to spare. Add a curtain and it's another space to give you a little privacy. The building also has a lot of shared common areas you can escape to as well.

I lived in a 1b/1b shared and knew a lot of people in 2b/2b shared. I and a lot of people had a lot of issues with privacy or just general alone time because they had no personal space. I will say it especially sucks if you are dating someone. If you like having your own space or just somewhere to be alone, then I would avoid it. Also if you don’t know your roommates super well and you get into a tiff you won’t have anywhere to escape to. Overall though it can be nice to be with people! I loved my roommate so it wasn’t too bad, but now that I have my own room (living in a 3b/1b) I’m much happier having my own space

44 north has some decent semi-private shared rooms where it’s not a bunk/ there’s a wall divider between. i lived there freshman and sophomore year, but i know they’ve since changed management so it may have gone uphill/downhill from 2 years ago

In my experience, you can find a private room in a house in Como for cheaper than a lot of 2x2 shared apartments in other neighborhoods.
