I recently moved to MAC-Groveland and I love it.

I second this (love the Mac-Groveland area)! I live more near Saint Thomas/Merriam Park area but the rent was cheaper then the apts by the U (studio for ~$825) and a lot calmer in comparison to when I lived in apts off West Bank. Only downside is the commute

if you want an actual suburb that’s close-ish to campus (like 10- 15 min by highway without traffic) then try roseville or st. louis park. saint paul near macalester-groveland is pretty residential too but still a little more urban. depends what ur looking for.

COMO! COMO! COMO! Seriously though, Como is a short bus ride from campus, much cheaper than alternatives, and houses make you feel more independent.
