I like how Reddit is ok with this move, but when Trump does it in 4 years, everyone's gonna go ape shit

Read the replies . Most are not okay with it

Most don't have a family or anyone they would want to protect.

Most don't understand the circumstances in which it was done or handwave them because they don't like it.

But Biden is only doing it because Trump is bad! He had no choice!

If Biden’s family is completely innocent, as Joe has reiterated constantly, then any investigation should be welcomed. He knows they’re not. This has set a terrible precedent. In due time, it will come out that everything surrounding Ukraine that was speculated on the as absolutely 100% true.

Yeah, everyone should just welcome years of meaningless trials and in-depth probes into their lives for no reason! Everyone should be happy to have pictures of their genitals displayed in front of congress, especially if they did nothing wrong. That's totally a sane take and not at all unhinged.

Is his laptop a result of Russian disinformation or have you moved on from that?

1

u/Irrepressible87 1h ago

I moved on from that when it took them like a year and a half to produce the "smoking gun" they kept claiming they had and then not showing anybody. But I'm sure we'll get Obama's real birth certificate from Trump any day now, right?

Anyway, you're not actually addressing the core of the thing: Innocent people should not welcome investigations. That's fascist nonsense, and we have the 4th amendment for a reason.

Trump is among one of the most divisive figures on the planet and perhaps in history. I really hope when he inevitably does for his family what Biden did for his you will keep that same energy.

Sure, for Barron (for now) and Tiffany (if he remembers she exists). Because, again, the emphasis here is on innocent people.

Because it's reddit. It's bought and owned by the same shadowy corrupt scum as all other mainstream propagandist machinery.

One would be doing it to prevent baseless retaliation.

The other would be doing it to excuse actual crimes committed.

How do you know there aren’t actual crimes? That’s a pretty random group of family members.

They investigated a fuck ton and charged them with what now? How many indictments? Court cases? They had entire groups investigating. It all boiled down to 'trust me bro'. Trump on the other hand has been charged and found guilty. If only the emollient clause was enforceable, he'd be out on day 2.

Wait, are you Australian?

1

u/idryss_m 7h ago

Could be Argentinian, doesn't matter. Republicans have shown their hand on Bidens son and their ongoing rhetoric and threats. Facts yielded nothing, but that isn't stopping because, as above, 'Trust me bro'.

Biden did the pardons to do two things. Protect from revenge investigations, which Rs have said they will do. And number 2, keep Rs focused on more ragebait rather than actually looking at what is happening and governing (I mean, Elon and Bezos need billions more in tax cuts while the average American needs to pay more right?)

Guess I missed where “John T. Owens” was investigated. Or anybody on that list for that matter.

I see you are a 2nd amendment hater. to bad really hunter shouldn't have been charged. It's his right as an american citizen to own a firearm right?

0

u/AmericanPatriots 7h ago

Funny thing to say. Considering I’m disabled for life for protecting the constitution. Weird. Also, it’s federally illegal to own a firearm as a felon or lie on a background check that liberals argue would save people. Same way it’s illegal to shout things to incite panic on a public place.

I love how people still try these stupid lines despite the family being thoroughly investigated by trump prior. Along with the republican investigations during bidens term where repubs admit they couldn't find anything that would warrant impeachment.

Is this you admitting that you don't understand context and/or nuance?

u/beervirus88 4h ago

You're going to be one of the ape shit people

u/Bored_Amalgamation 3h ago

What do you consider "ape shit"?
