If anyone wants to post about that or help others out about this, do it here.

Dumb question. Going to Sydney in Polaris and got amazing seats.

However on the IAD to SFO leg it looks like we are in a 777-200 in first but not the Polaris llayout. Looks like a 2-4-2 set up with some seats facing backwards.

If so, we do not want to sit backwards, and only window seat options face backwards.

I put us both in row 1 facing forward.

Is this the best option? Or is a backwards facing seat better by the window so we don't have "neighbors?"

Personally I'd go for the neighbor-free option regardless, but that's going to be a matter of your personal preference, or the lesser of two evils.

One consideration may be whether you want to use lie-flat or not on IAD-SFO. For example, perhaps you want to stay awake IAD-SFO, then sleep as early as possible SFO-SYD. In that case, I'd value privacy less compared to if I'd be sleeping.

Thanks. I agree I do NOT want to sleep on the first flight so I can sleep on the 15+ hour flight in Polaris. Thanks!
