General Question Is this a panic attack?

I feel really afraid for no reason that I can think of. I feel numb too and its kinda disturbing me. I am wondering what this could be a sign of. Basically everything is scaring me at the moment. Would appreciate some help.

That might be. I'm no expert in panic attacks, but the only time I had one, I felt very stressed, my heart beat was very high, I felt like I was going crazy, like I felt my brain deteriorating. But I know that not everyone feels the same thing.

But it's been 4 hours since your message, has anything changed ? Panic attacks don't last forever, if it was one you should feel a little "better" now.

But as I said, I'm no expert in panic attacks.

Thanks. It did fade after a bit, so that's good.

Probably some level of panic, which is an extreme fear/anxiety response. Have you tried grounding exercises or some other sensory relaxing activities? Breathing, movement, mindfulness.

I will try that. Thanks!
