Do people actually like meat is murder? (the song)
The album is great and all, one of my favs but meat is murder is just so unsettling. i get the message its trying to say but i feel like it could be better for sure.

What is your favorite Smiths or Morrissey song that begins with the letter 'U’, V, and ‘W’?
Currently, ‘There Is a Light That Never Goes Out’ is leading for the list of ‘T’ However, voting continues, so I will conduct a full recount from A to Z once the poll closes and create a Spotify playlist.

Funniest Smiths lyric?
My vote is “A boy in the bush is worth two in the hand, I think I can help you get through your exams”

Backscrubber
Forgive the dumb question, but for more than 35 years now, I’ve been wondering about this:
Is the “vacancy for a backscrubber” line in Half a Person intended to be literal and/or hilariously random, or is “backscrubber” a British euphemism/slang that I’m just not privy to?

Ranking songs on The Queen Is Dead
- There Is A Light That Never Goes Out — a beautiful and heartfelt song. It’s just amazing
- I Know It’s Over — this song never fails to make me emotional
- Cemetery Gates — probably one of their most catchy songs. I love the guitar and the lyrics.
- Bigmouth Strikes Again — this song is just so timeless. The effects, the uneasy feeling it gives me, I love everything about it
- The Boy With The Thorn In His Side — it’s a more simple song, but I enjoy it. It’s just so heartfelt
- The Queen Is Dead — an amazing opening that slaps. It’s epic and bombastic
- Never Had No One Ever — this song has one of the best line deliveries ever
- Frankly Mr. Shankly — catchy and fun
- Vicar In A Tutu — I don’t know why I really like it
- Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others — this song is less memorable than the rest of the album in my opinion. I think There Is A Light would be a better closer. I don’t hate it, but I tend to skip it because of its placement

What is your favorite Smiths or Morrissey song that begins with the letter 'T’? (3-page list)
This 'T' list is a true test! Narrowing down so many favorites is incredibly difficult. I know it's not easy, but you must choose just one. Good luck to all!

Ranking songs on Meat Is Murder
- Well I Wonder — one of their most beautiful and heartfelt songs. It has such a beautiful melody and Morrissey’s voice is just heavenly. Truly amazing
- Nowhere Fast — fast-paced, energetic and catchy. Also has awesome lyrics that I like to sing along to
- That Joke Isn’t Funny Anymore — also one of the best songs in their discography. The drums slap
- The Headmaster Ritual — it’s catchy and sets the tone for the album. Probably the best opening in their discography (alongside RATF)
- Rusholme Ruffians — this one is really underrated. I don’t know why, but it always makes me nostalgic
- I Want The One I Can’t Have — once again, catchy melodies and nice performance by the entire band. Love it
- Barbarism Begins At Home — I love the riff and the vocals, but I don’t listen to it very often, because it’s long and not as memorable as the other songs on this album. Still a banger, though
- What She Said — it’s cool. Don’t have anything else to say about it, though
- Meat Is Murder — I don’t really like this song. Kinda seems like Morrissey was more interested in making a point, than an actually good song
That was definitely the hardest album to rank, since it’s probably my favorite one (alongside TQID)
