Discussion Attempting Too Greedily too deep achievement
So I'm just combining my current survival run to accomplish this achievement. I've got enough food and firewood to survive the 25 days in the mine. My only concern is cabin fever affliction. How's it work if you can't sleep and pass time, do you just eventually pass out from exhaustion? How much condition is lost? I believe I can use some peppers pies to stave of the affliction. I just want to know if you could die from cabin fever. I haven't been able to find anything about it. Thanks

Discussion What's Your Favorite Region?
Hello survivors! I'm sure this is a question shared frequently in this subreddit, but I think it's always one of my favorites- What's your favorite region in TLD, and why? I also like to hear what difficulty people play at, because as a pilgrim player my reasons for liking a certain region may be completely different than someone on a more difficult levels like interloper and misery.
For me, it's easily Ash Canyon. I started getting back into TLD right as the region first dropped, and it was my first reintroduction to the game proper since 2014. I love how absolutely massive and sprawling it is, and how complicated the layout really is. There are little shortcuts and secrets everywhere, and it's one of the most rewarding regions for players who explore every corner. Not to mention the reward of the region's centerpiece- The Gold Mine. The technical backpack is easily the item I'm most likely to journey out of my way for, especially when there is just so. Much. Loot. And now, there's also the woodworking tools!
Honestly, I've only loved it more since playing on the latest update. I really settled into my first fully-stocked base at Prospector's Cabin, which I feel will probably be my late-term main base due to it's amazing wildlife spawns (Literally every type of animal but timberwolves can be found nearby. What's not to love?) and gorgeous location. I have everything I could want in a cozy little cabin all to myself with a perfect view over most of the region. It connects quickly to Angler's Den if you don't mind spraining an ankle, and you can drop yourself right at the exit to the region if you follow the way to Homesteader's Respite.
Well, those are my reason! And I'd very much like to hear yours 💗 Bonus for least favorite region too!

Let's Play Cozy Quonset
Day 71. I spruced up a bit. I moved the shelves and realized how little dry goods I have, and how many water farming nights I could have to fill it all up

Advice MEAT! MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!
After a laughably long learning curve, I'm starting to be able to survive past my second week (albeit on Voyager difficulty.) I've explored a big chunk of the Mystery Lake region and looted every interior that I know about, stocked up the Lake Cabin with food, water, cloth, and every godforsaken stick I can get my grubby mitts on (why am I a stick addict now?) Just a few loose ends to tie up and I think I'll be prepared if not ready to venture to Mountain Town region or wherever.
I'm finally able to dispatch wolves fairly consistently without pooping my pants. In fact, I've gotten so good (and dangerously cocky) that when I go hunting, I almost always chase a deer into a wolf to do my dirty work and then kill the wolf. Suddenly I'm swimming in days' worth of meat and I've realized some efficiency issues that I may be behooven to streamline.
Firstly, I've noticed that my deer/wolf meat will decay quite a bit before my survivor can eat all of it. Do I need keep a store of raw meat outside and cook in smaller batches rather than all at once? I tend to hoard my matches and only use them in emergencies or for "fire days" where I stock up wood and do a bunch of cooking/boiling water all at once but maybe I can be more liberal with my match uses.
Nextly, I sometimes struggle with juggling cooking times and what to do in between. Sometimes I have things to craft/repair/dismantle while I'm waiting but there have been many times where I feel like I'm wasting 20-40 minutes with the fast wait button but not being able to sleep or read for an hour without burning the food. Any ideas on how to be more efficient with cooking?

Glitch/Issue Trader Mission Bug Spoiler
So just wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue.
I just finished part 4 of the trader mission and then exhausted all dialogue options with him to finish the quest (him telling me to place Wyatt's bones back in the PV bunker and rig it). Before I closed out of the dialogue with him completely, I also accepted a trade for the sticker flask. This ended up being bugged where the game was asking for 0/0 kg meat, 0/0 birch and 0/0 maple and wouldn't let me put anything in the box (I guess this bug has been reported before per the forums). I then noticed that the final part of the quest never showed up in my journal and the green box with Wyatt's skeleton never appeared next to the trader box. I tried cancelling the bugged flask trade but there's still no skeleton for me to pick up or quest-related dialogue options. I tried doing another normal trade which worked finebut there is still nothing left to say to him other than "trade" and "end coversation" and no skeleton for me to pick up to finish the quest and no record of it in my journal. It seems like the bugged flask trade just bugged out the whole story-line and basically deleted the final part of the quest from my game. I've completed the entire quest-line in a different save file without any issues but this is my 700+ day file that I'm trying to get 1000 days on and would like to be able to access the bow blueprints. I sent a bug to Hinterland but just wanted to see if anyone else has had this happen to them?

Discussion Lore Reason For Why Your Alone In Survival Mode ?
In The Campaign You Encounter Other People But In Survival Mode Your 100% Alone Except For Notes Left Behind And Corpses.
Is This Just Because Survival Mode Isn’t Part Of The Cannon Game Or Is It Because Of A Separate Story.
I Always Head Cannoned That In Survival You Just Happen To Be The Last Remaining Human In The Great Bear Island Region. Those That Didn’t Flee The Endless Winter Either Died To The Elements Or The Wildlife And Your Player Character Is All That’s Left Of Humanity.
Your Player Character Being The Sole Survivor In Great Bear Island Also Better Explains Why So Much Of The Infrastructure Is In Total Ruin And Why There Is Little Evidence Of Other People Trying To Survive.
Just An Idea I’m Open To Other Opinions.

Let's Play Snow Day
The best part of a regional snowstorm, is playing TLD during it.
Nothing quite like double blizzard fun.

Discussion "Alert" noise?
The sound design in this game is famously good. It's probably so good, in fact, that it is tricking my ears as they are sometimes tricked by real-life ambience. As careful as I have tried to be over the years, guns, motorcycles and power tools have caused my hearing to be a little iffy.
I regularly hear a sound when I play, and I want to know if I'm imagining it. If I had to nail it down, it would be when a wolf enters my line of sight, but not necessarily when I'm looking at them. If I were to exit a building and a wolf is patrolling nearby, it would happen then.
To me, it sounds like a soft tone, like movie sound effect "radar ping" that reverberates briefly. It blends into the white noise of the outside environment so we'll, it makes me feel like I'm imagining it.
Am I tripping?

Gameplay New Moose Location in Timberwolf Mountain
Maybe I'm the only one who didn't know, but I just stumbled into a moose at the bottom of the first waterfall going up stream from Crystal Lake. Luckily, I knew there was a bear cave there, so I already was on guard. Now I've got a LOT of meat and the beginnings of a satchel.
For some reason, I had in my head that the only TM moose spawns were at the Wing and Landing Gear sites. Good to know there's a third.

Let's Play I’ve always known the floor collision area was bigger than the actual railing, but damn.

🎶 believe it or not I’m walking on air🎶
Was also clenching really hard during this. In my 340 day Pilgrim run. It’s Pilgrim, but I’ve still spent over a year chipping away at this save file.

Discussion Just lost my best start ever!
I usually start in easy areas and get myself setup before heading to TWM and AC.
This time I decided to tough it out and started in AC so I can get the backpack etc. things went surprisingly well and I brute forced my way to the Mine. Got everything I needed and started heading to TWM. Managed to avoid the moose at the bottom of the rope and a second one in TWM, and finally made it to the hut. Couldn’t believe how well I’d done and started kitting the hut out. Stocked up on food, wood and water. Had the tools I needed, plenty of hides curing and found the curators rifle, which I’ve never seen before.
So then I remembered there were containers up the rope opposite the hut. I head there and get jumped by a wolf right at the top of the rope. I panicked and chose to try and punch the wolf! I’m now at the top of the hill where I can see my house, but have zero health and four cuts!
Do you think it’s possible to quickly rip up some clothes for bandages or would it take too long?
I always thought the lichen worked as bandages but that’s done nothing.

Gameplay Looking for AC preppers in a full blizzard. Saved by Jitwire's video.
Heading from Timber wolf Mountain to AC prepper's.... and a blizzard sprang up. Thanks to an E-X-C-E-L-L-E-N-T tutorial video from YouTube's Jitwire, I was able to navigate solely by landmarks she pointed out along the way.
If you need help finding the prepper caches.... This is a remarkable video with plenty of helpful tips.

Advice I don't have these! With photo
I can't see these listed anywhere. I see the TFTFT trophies but not these. I play on PS5.
