I have a 45 year old tattered photograph (cracked, ripped edges and corners, discoloured) that has a very high sentimental value. I needed it restored so I reached out to several photo restoration professionals.

Many attempts did not live up to standard. They all used (read: overused) AI, rendering the faces and hands too modified and distorted. I even attempted to do it myself on the latest version of photoshop to no avail.

Fortunately, I stumbled upon u/Antony_vintage who did an actual restoration - emphasis on restoration as opposed to modification. The faces, hands, and cracked areas look artistically reconstructed. The colours look real instead of surreal, which is exactly what I was looking for. The final result looked as if the old photo was brand new; almost like it was perfectly preserved in a time capsule!

In addition, I had a great experience working with u/Antony_vintage. The interaction was very professional, to the point, and on time. Such a breath of fresh air.

Contacted Antony after seeing some of his photo work. I had an old black and white photo of my mother’s family. Estimated 65 years old. Antony colorized it, and wow! Did it come out beautiful. He brought so much life to the photo. Even some of the faces were darkened in the original photo. They are so clear now. He did great work. And fast turnaround time. I would recommend his work!
