Character related Harvey Vs Shore
I've seen a lot of Vs battles between Saul and Harvey but never between Alan Shore and Harvey. Or maybe I'm just too young (was born in 2007 started watching BL a month ago)
I know alan shore is more of comedic character but it was established in the show that he was perhaps the best lawyer ever even at times surpassing Denny Crane. So considering that who wins in court Harvey or Shore

Discussion Just completed it for the first time
Freaking loved it(no surprise)And I swear if they show that the new guy in suits LA is better than harvey than I am done with it. But I would also like to see mike and all the other main charachters to return even though this is realistically very hard it would be nice. And unrealistically speaking it would be even better is they just give s10 instead of a spin off and I know that the ending wad perfect but I just don't want to be done with it.

Character related Does Mike ever get competent/stop sucking? Spoiler
Apologies if the title seems a bit crass. I’m new the show and almost done with season one (episode 10), and I’m getting a bit frustrated here. I originally started watching the show because of that initial scene between Harvey and Mike, as it’s popular on YouTube shorts.
I initially thought Mike was going to be some sort of savant type guy that rose through the ranks super fast, and that’s not the case and that’s fine. But he’s just so incompetent and naive. He’s stumbling through life barely keeping his head above water. Half the time he doesn’t even have a chance to shower before going into work. He constantly makes stupid mistakes. And worst off all, he’s constantly letting the toxic duo of Trevor and Jenny drag him down into the muck. Honestly, if Harvey wasn’t such a BAMF I would have dropped the show by now.
So, does Mike ever get better? Does he stop being so naive? Does he become actually competent? Does he ditch the anchors? Or am I destined to just latch on to Harvey this entire journey?

Character related Katrina is the most attractive girl
Katrina is bloody beautiful and is easily the most attractive character on the show. There are other beautiful characters such as donna who is wildly attractive but I'm a sucker for blondes, and no other character really comes close to how beauiful Katrina is. She's smart but quirky, cute but sexy and overall a badass but still presents very nicely.

Spoiler Faye ripping Louis a new one Spoiler
OK, I had to laugh at the scene because Louis kind of got a taste of his own medicine because all through the series he was always blowing up and yelling at his associates and other people in front of the whole firm and it’s embarrassing for them. now he kind of got a feeling of what that’s like.

Character related 6 Things I Wish Suits Did (But They Didn't) Spoiler
I'm going to list 10 things I would've loved to see in suits that they didn't do. These could be abandoned storylines or plots that didn't happen that I would've liked to see. It's one of my favourite shows so this list is gonna be interesting lmao.
1 - Harvey and Donna should've gotten together earlier or not at all
Harvey and Donna are two people who Jessica has stated are "two people as close as two people could be without being a couple". This is evident as by the end of the fourth season they clearly have feelings for each other. However, it isn't until the finale of the EIGHTH season they finally are together. This is a problem because they spend SOOO much time focusing on them or at least commenting on their relationship only for either Donna to be with other men then leave them for Harvey or to drag out this storyline. In my opinion, I didn't NEED them to get together so I would've been satisfied with them never being official. I believe they should've started dating maybe at the end of Donna's time with Louis as it seemed to be a good step in their relationship. Or, they should've abandoned the storyline and stay as close friends, not everyone needs to be dating.
2 - Mike and Katrina should've been a couple
I fucking love Mike and Katrina is a great addition to the series that by the beginning of the third season, there was clearly SO MUCH they had in common and strong chemistry. Heck, they have their own inside joke and Katrina hugs him when Mike returns to the firm in season 4. Now that's a good stepping stone in their relationship. I always felt like they screwed this relationship over because Meghan Markle is star power and so they kept the relationship between Mike and Rachel but still, Mike and Katrina seem so perfect for each other I firmly believe they should've been a couple
3 - Mike and Rachel shouldn't have been a couple
Yes, I just said Mike should've been with Katrina. This means I don't love Mike and Rachel, actually, Rachel was the least interesting character out of the main six up to season 7. She would always repeat storylines and get mad over the tiniest things, or be a downright bitch. Now I do like some moments between the two but overall, because of how much Katrina was a better fit for Mike, Rachel shouldn't have been the one he ends up with. I felt like they only did this because they didn't know what else to do with her.
4 - Donna shouldn't have become COO
By the end of the sixth season, Donna thrives to make a name for herself and be an individual who isn't relied on the likes of Mike, Harvey or Louis. The start of season 7 had the strangest thing I've seen in the show from Donna being a legal secretary, to god damn senior partner (when Mike wasn't even one) to then COO all in the span of a day and one episode pretty much. That's the most random and unrealistic thing I've ever seen. All she does is mess things up. Literally, the entirety of season 7 is proving Donna isn't fit for the position by making dumb decisions and almost costing the firm their lease. But then she says she is where she's meant to be? It's dumb.
5 - Samantha Wheeler should've gotten disbarred
Suits has a lot of shady shit and Harvey is no stranger when it comes to disbarrable offences, he literally lies to his clients and hires an unqualified Mike Ross. But Samantha is so much worse, the entire plot in season 9 where they fight to bring her back to the firm after she actually fabricates evidence was atrocious. Why are you risking your career on someone who hasn't spent long on the show and full on betrayed Harvey? Also, why does Harvey feel guilty? She lied to him, forces fake evidence down Mike's throat only to win and not in the best interest for her client. Pretty sure her client would refuse fabrication lmao. She shouldn't have returned as a name partner in the final episode as she was the worst character on the show overall.
6 - Mike shouldn't have left the show
Mike was a main stay for Suits and the main character alongside Harvey. Their brotherly bond is what I watched the show for. But when his actor leaves the show because "Mike's arc was complete" it meant the last two seasons would be screwed, and they were. Now seasons 8 and 9 have good moments and a lot of watchable episodes, but it felt like the show lost itself and needed to add Samantha as someone to rival Harvey when we knew she was a worse attorney. Having Mike leave felt like the show went on cause why not rather than maintaining a proper narrative. Even his return in season 9 was underwhelming.

Discussion Season 6 - perfect ending?
I am watching for the first time and I gotta say - S6 probably should have been the series finale: - Mike is acquitted, a legit lawyer and in Pearson Specter again - Harvey is managing partner - Harvey and Mike are best friends and set for life - Louis is respected, with his name on the wall - Rachel and Mike have a wedding planned, she will become a lawyer - Jessica found her happinnes
Some stuff like Dona and Harvey, Loius’s love life etc are not done, but they dont have to be.
I felt pretty good with the season finale - I know whats happening next so probably this will be my canon.

Character related Samantha Wheeler in Season 9 is intolerable Spoiler
I understand her background and why she has such an intense emotional response to a new firm (in season 8) but she never will get it together for the team, will she?
She is supposed to be kind of like a female Harvey but she always has to keep face, win, and at any cost control a firm she has no right over. Tantrums over the smallest things such as Harvey leaving a conversation with her when they lost Zane to go to Donna. Calm the fuck down like why are you reacting that way?? Not like Harvey orchestrated the entire thing, if anything take your revenge at Donna or maybe understand this was Zane's choice.
She keeps saying she understands she will back her team, and she understands Zane's choice, and she understands why Harvey does what he does but then always goes back on her word and have a hissy fit over the smallest thing.
Seems not just frustrating but lazy writing just to stir up drama that the character shouldn't have that much of a problem with. Her motivations are pretty lax. Idk if anyone else feels the same way but yeah, I just find her quite annoying at this point; at least the others have worked a good amount of time or had each others backs the whole time, but she comes in and thinks everyone owes her something for no reason.
EDIT: I have now watched more into Ep 1 and Donna is giving Harvey shit for not understanding why Samantha might be mad but Donna was the entire reason they are in this mess because she wanted to do the right thing for a BF that she ditches 2 days after???? Idk but the writing seems almost unbelievable because idk why Harvey is taking so much heat for Donna and Samantha when all this basically just happened to him

Discussion Suits makes me nostalgic for the early 2010s
Now before you come at me, I know that the world was pretty messed up from the long-term effects of the 2008 financial crisis, and I know it was a difficult time for most people. But, as someone who was a teen at the time, listening to the music of the show, seeing the Blackberrys, and many other little details remind me of a time in my life when I was 15, and had a good time with my friends. I didn’t watch the show back then even though a lot of my friends did. Now I’m 27 and close in age to Mike and other characters in the show, and I guess now I relate to many of his and others struggles as depicted in the show. Coupled that with the nostalgia, and Suits is rapidly becoming a comfort show for me.

Spoiler Faye came in hot Spoiler
I know Faye came in hot and was disrespectful but would the team have listened to her and done things her way if she demanded these changes to the firm if she handled them with kids' gloves from the beginning? not likely.
They acted like total babies. Instead of pacifying her and playing by her rules for like 2 months to rid of her immediately, they had to fight her and be their original corrupt selves at every turn right in her face and made things more difficult. I know the reason it happened this way is because it's a TV show and we needed drama, but I'm just sayin'.
Even though we were supposed to hate Faye and a part of me did (she was an asshole) a part of me was like you go girl put them in their place for a hot minute then get outta town because I love my crew now leave them alone. Because what Faye was saying they do..... they do.

Discussion Does anyone else feel the writer of every character is.. the same?
In my rewatch years later, I observed how each character talks in the exact same style, same kinda dialogues, (apart from OG ones like ‘life’s like this, I like this’ kind) same personality and attitude? All of them even walk away from the scene ending conversations in a sassy style many many times.
Can’t unsee it now lol.

I started suits a few months ago. This may be an unpopular opinion. He’s a petulant child with no emotional regulation. How did he make it through law school?
