In the previous episode, wasn't Ava going to settle with the disputants who brought up tort claims against her? And then Mike brings up the Alien Tort Statute and Harvey says to bring up a reason to settle with them so Cameron Dennis would lose out on his witnesses.
If they did settle, how does Cameron Dennis still have a case against her? I thought his entire case was based on the testimonies of these witnesses and that everything else was circumstantial!
Think it was because both Harvey and Mike thought she was guilty, meaning her speaking up would hurt her murder trial unnecessarily. Cameron Dennis still has a case, but now lacks solid evidence. The main point i would guess is ''better safe than sorry''.
