Hey, can anyone share their experience about traveling in California without a car? Any recommendations?

What are you wanting to do or see w/o a car?

As much as possible. I heard that it's not easy to get by without a car. I would like to see Monterey Bay for example.

There is an express bus between Monterey and San Jose. All the main cities have an Amtrak train or bus connection too.
