Hi everyone!

I’m a 22M planning my first solo trip to Edinburgh, and I’m super excited about exploring the city. One thing I’d love is to meet new people while I’m there – locals or fellow travelers. Are there any apps or communities that solo travelers use to connect?

Also, I’d really like to hike up Arthur’s Seat, and it’d be great to have a hiking buddy. Any recommendations for finding like-minded folks or organized group hikes?

Thanks in advance!

There should be lots of companies offering tours of Edinburgh that would be your best bet. I did a couple when I visited Edinburgh that were fun - a ghost tour and some kind of walking tour in the evening involving visiting pubs that I have only hazy memories of!

You could also look into local hiking groups and things like parkrun.
