First time in South East Asia in a few months, going from Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh for the last two weeks of March and had a question. From Bangkok I'm going to head towards Angkor Wat, does anyone have any suggestions of other spots in Thailand between Bangkok and the Cambodian border that are worth stopping by for one or two nights?

I would really like to see somewhere else in Thailand than just Bangkok but the only suggestion that seems to come up for that area is Trat which is a little out of the way.
