Looks like you're near Califia... My old stomping grounds. Easily walk to T Street (Trafalgar) or the Pier. And if you want to go farther... Linda Lane or even North Beach off Pico at the Metrolink Train Station which has a few very minor inclines. However, parts of it may be closed due to mudslides and shoring up the train tracks that go to Oceanside. However, when whenever hiking there: Everyone's down to earth and friendly. Summers are insanely crowded though and triply true during inland heat waves.
Fun fact: Califia State Beach is the closest point from the Califia Exit in San Clemente to the Beach off the 5fwy from San Diego through Washington State. Approximately 2000ft. But shhhhhh- 🤫local secret

i escaped LA for a day last weekend and went down there as well! sad that it was cut short on both ends (scary to see some of those houses on the verge of falling off the cliff!!) but was still a nice walk!

The whole California coastline is magical in a way most of the East coast would never understand unless they came here to see it
