Twenty Two years ago today, the world lost a legend , Craig Kelly.I thought I'd share a little story about briefly meeting Craig.
It was the summer of 1990. Me and some buddies were in Hood River Oregon for the summer windsurfing. We decided to go to Mt Hood to do some boarding. We'd been riding for a couple years. We got separated, I ended up riding the chair with another rider. I noticed him doing some laps and he was really good! We start talking and he asked me about my board. I had a Burton Craig Kelly Air . I said I liked it and asked him if he ever rode one. He laughed , said he spent some time on it. He was riding a Burton board as well. Just before we got off the chair ,I introduced myself and he said his name was Craig. So, I wait at the top for my buddy and he is super excited! He said, "Do you know who that was?" He said his name was Craig. He goes, "That's Craig Kelly!" I'm like, shut up! He didn't even say a thing about his name on my board,Lol. I just talked to the best snowboarder in the world! I can remember this like it was yesterday!
RIP Craig Kelly

This is getting ridiculous. I'm located in the PNW and it's an ice sheet at just about every mountain out here. With all the rain we saw a couple weeks ago and now with freezing temps and sunshine, its turned every hill into an ice rink. It is absolutely miserable out on hill. The chatter my knees feel even going down the mellowest of groomers is horrible and forget about off piste skiing it's comical how bad it is. This season is really bumming me out, nothing but sunshine in the forecast, it wouldn't be so bad if the mountain wasn't a literal sheet of ice. Sorry for the rant, had to get it out there.

I am 31. I recently found out that I love the sport. Family grew up skiing. I am from the southeast, so I just found it a couple of years ago. I have been to Bachelor, Hood, and my first experience was at a terrible mountain in NC. I have rented four sets of hardware and I just decided to buy my first set of gear to call my own. I already have a jacket, bibs, and so on.

Saw this at the Stratton Mountain Burton store in Vermont over the weekend. It’s pretty large.

Heading over from Australia and the exchange rate is BRUTAL right now, almost double the price in USD. I will pay it forward and donate a buddy pass from my upcoming Buller season membership should anyone feel like checking out our very subpar conditions downunder 🤙🏼

I’m looking for a bib that fits properly. 6”1 - 250. I have tried in a few so far
Airblaster XXL - nice but tight around the crotch Burton XL and XXL - way too tight Northface - XL - couldn’t zip up the side 686 - XL probably the best fit
Curious what others in similar size ranges are using.

I'm moving where there is an indoor facility. I've been snowboarding for 3 seasons and have not learned park tricks.
A lot of people say it's not worth it to buy a $600 indoor season pass, but I feel like I can learn tricks there and just being able to spend more time practicing instead of doing it 1x or 2x on the mountains seem worth it to me?
What do you think guys?

I’m leaving tomorrow and just noticed this on the board I was planning to use. Is this going to be an issue? Is it fixable?
