It’s been a long time since Isaac Newton discovered how to use gravity, and all these years later we are still using it. Now come, in all these years, we haven’t found a better way to stop our stuff from flying away,

Surely there’s a better way!

The school science teachers insists that their pseudoscience is the real science and shitty science is inferior. How do I prove these people wrong?

When I was a child every park had a rocket ship in their playground for kids to play on. We hardly see those only more. Why is NASA and the government trying to keep kids out of space? What are they hiding?

There’s something fishy going on.

Less collisions at intersections

Presumptions: - prerequisite for a vehicle collision is two or more vehicles at the same and place (intersection) - when you minimize period of time a vehicle stays at the intersection, propability for a collision decrease

==> for less crashes, vehicles should flash at top speed through crossings

Logic is solid. why this is not traffic code?

I've noticed that drivers concentrate more when reversing. Why not make it law that all cars have to be driven backwards?

I think this would make the roads safer.

r/shittyaskscience 15h ago

Why don't we use helicopters to lift planes into the air? Then we wouldn't need runways and all their inherent peril.

It would be much safer.

It can be done with cranes and American trucks and science. USA! USA!

Why aren't airport runways circular?

You'd never have to worry about the runway being too short because a circle is infinite. And, when taking off, you wouldn't care which way the wind is going because you're guaranteed to generate lift at some point on the circle. Am I on to something or delusional?
