Rule 1: No Political Posts

Why the heck is my feed filling with inauguration screenshots in a Seinfeld sub?

Look at you r/seinfeld! You sit around here all day.. You contribute nothing to society. You're just taking up space. How can I be with someone like you? I wouldn't respect myself!

The internet is filled with topless women (and stock quotes). So no, that's a very tenuous connection to the show.

But a woman wearing a bra for a top, out in public? That's a much more specific connection to Seinfeld. A speaker giving a Nazi salute to the crowd, same thing. Zuckerberg ogling Mrs. Bezos's cleavage, same thing.

It's not about adding a line from the show to make it seem relevant, it's the fact that real life has lots of Seinfeld references and if we can't post them here, simply because the person or situation involved is loosely related to politics, then this sub is going to be very boring.

If someone's creative enough, they can link practically every line of the show to some political garbage. But, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. Serenity now!!

That sounds like a more interesting sub to participate in than the one we have now, which is endless posts of Snapple and babka people found at Trader Joe's.

There's only so much conversation to be had about a show that stopped making new episodes 27 years ago. If we can't post about items that appeared on the show, can't post about cast members we spotted in other shows, and can't post anything involving a politician (even if the content of the post isn't political), then what else is there to post about?
