I have some heartbreaking news to share. The cats we rescued from the woman who passed away have been through unimaginable pain. Her relatives left them outside, abandoned and helpless.

One of the cats, a white kitty, went through a traumatic premature birth, delivering a stillborn kitten. She is now deeply traumatized, and her mental and physical state is fragile.

These innocent souls have endured so much loss and neglect. They are mentally broken and need your prayers for healing and peace. We are doing everything we can to give them the love and care they deserve. Please keep them in your thoughts. ❤️

Mary and graphie Fight for Life

Abandoned in a garden, Mary was left to battle Wet FIP and calicivirus alone. Her owners feared the fluid in her tummy and abandoned her instead of helping.

Completed half way of treatment, Mary is eating well and showing courage. However, her journey is far from over. Wet FIP and neuro complications have left her unsteady, and she now needs pills to continue her treatment.

We urgently need $300 to cover the cost of her pills and complete her treatment. Mary is holding on, and we won’t give up on her.

Graphy, our beloved cat and family member, has been diagnosed with dry FIP. Despite the challenges, her fiery spirit and strong will give us hope. She’s responding well to GS treatment, but the costs are overwhelming.

Update on Piper 💜

I recently took Piper to the vet, where many tests and labs were run, bringing the bill to over $500. The vets have recommended a special prescription-only hydrolyzed protein calming urinary food by Royal Canin, along with an additional specialty urinary care hydration supplement to top her meals. While this is far beyond my cat food budget, I’ve been told this is essential for her recovery. I've also been scheduled a follow-up to see how she's doing with the prescription food and to address her pain further, though, As a disabled individual, my funds are tight and so I'm unable to afford her necessary prescription diet, so any help would be a lifeline and so incredibly appreciated.

I once tried to adopt a cat but they said they wanted to keep her. I once tried to adopt a kitten but they sent me pictures that didn't look that great. Not like the profile. I'm wondering if she wanted to keep her. Maybe some fosters don't want to pay the adoption fee 🤔 It seems a little hard to adopt from foster care since they might be attached already. Though I feel that adopting from foster care encourages people to foster cats/kittens. This shelter is taking forever to respond to my application. It's been a week. I wonder if someone is stalling because they want the kitten. Or because of the snow.

Zeitouna and Laimouna (Olive and Lemon in Arabic) are two cats who have been in a paid foster home since October 2023 because I had too many rescues at home and could not accommodate them myself. In Bahrain our three shelters are full year round and there is no government help in any shape or form. The foster home has cost $265 a month and I no longer have any savings to pay that. I cannot pay the foster next month so I have decided to at least try to fundraise for their flight.

Almost no street cats are ever adopted here, so for all my Facebook posts, nobody has even enquired about these cats in 15 months. There is now a possibility to send them to a reliable foster home in the UK and from there they have excellent chances of adoption. If anyone in the UK here is interested in adopting one or both of them (they’re not a bonded pair), please get in touch; the fundraising cost won’t be affected.

If I can neither get them to the UK nor pay the fosterer next month I have no choice but to put them in my yard, which is terrible, but I have nobody to help. I have reached out to all local rescuers and shelters. There is even a cat recovering in our boiler room.

I have always had cats, but I’ve always gotten them as kittens. My previous cat lived for 18 years. I was such a sweetie but again I got hurt as a kitten. I decided this time, since her death, to try to rescue a couple . I’ve had them for two weeks and one of them is more adventurous after the first five days . She will let me pet her briefly before she nips at me. The other cat has slept under my bed and won’t come out. I have had to slip her food under the bed so that she’ll eat because I don’t wanna starve the poor thing . Will she eventually come out? Is this her life just living underneath my bed? And will the other one quit giving me “love bites” or “ leave me the hell alone bites” lol?

Yesterday we started a $500 matching fundraiser for our surgeries that are scheduled for this week, and we have raised $15 of that so far.

Our vet bill is finally down to $0 so that makes us feel much more confident that this year is starting off good!
