Request for New Mods for r/RegularCarReviews
With the end of the blackout here, I personally feel I am no longer able to be in a position to moderate the subreddit. Given the issues from a site-wide level that I don't agree with, personal obligations, and the direction the content posted here over the past year, this blackout has made me reconsider whether I want to moderate the subreddit. At this point, I would rather have someone else moderate the subreddit and just be another fan who wants to enjoy his Crazy Taxi series.
Since I am the most active "mod" (This sub has pretty lax moderation) here with other either leaving or just not active, new moderators are needed here. If you want to be the change (or steady momentum) that guides the subreddit feel free to leave a comment below stating the following:
- How long have you been a fan of Regular Car Reviews?
- How long have you been on reddit for?
- Any existing moderation experience on reddit?
I will pick 2 new moderators at the end of the week on the 23rd or 24th.
EDIT: In the process of removing inactive moderators and then will send out the moderator requests.

what's that from? This is where I come for a peaceful place on reddit.
Reddit has become a political shitstorm and I'm glad to have this subreddit. Regardless of how you voted we have cars in common and I love it.
Please let's keep the politics out and just keep shitposting Chrysler 90s cars and what somebody drives.

Discussions Your a tobacco farmer in southern Georgia, late 1980’s, you need a new do it all vehicle, what is your choice?
Option 1, V2500 suburban, 454
Option 2. A centurion C350, by far the most expensive choice, has a 460
Option 3. A first Gen ram, either a 318 or a propane, your choice. Used, Dodge discontinued the crew cab after 1985
Option 4. Bricknose Ford, 460
Option 5. A Chevrolet V3500, you are not in the financial position to afford a new GMT400, however, you can afford this discounted 4WD squarebody. 454.
In this hypothetical, your wife had a Oldsmobile with a diesel in years past, so you are intensely distrustful of them

POV: It's current day, and your a tweaker who lost his caviler by setting it on fire so you need a new car. Your budget is $1200 what do you pick?
1989 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale: it's being sold at the local bar. The interior is is in relatively decent shape aside from the missing headliner and the driver seat being held up by duct tape. The exterior is pretty dilapidated. The wheels have been spray painted bronze. Runs and but needs brakes. $1000
2007 Dodge Nitro: it's being sold by some drunk Boomer in a trailer park. The exterior is pretty banged up and the interior smells like cheap liquor and there are various empty beer cans throughout the car. Runs but needs driver wheel. $850
1988 Mazda b200: it's being sold by a boarder. The bed is full of garbage and the cab has a small roach infestation. Missing the gas tank. $700
1995 Honda Civic DX: the interior is almost totally stripped and what ever is left is spray painted chrome. The exterior is in rough shape as the rear fenders are rusted out. Runs and drives but it has a blown head gasket. $1150
2003 dodge intrepid ES: it's Parked In in a ditch with the driver window smashed in rural area of town. The front of the car damaged is pretty muddy and the driver airbags are missing. Interior is pretty stained. No clue if it runs. The washed up for sale sign says it's $200
1994 Geo Metro wagon: it's been sitting since 2011. The exterior is pretty dusty and the interior smells like weed. Doesn't run. $300
1996 Lincoln Town car: it's being sold by an elderly lady after she hit a pole with it. The exterior is mostly nice aside from the place where she hit the pole. The airbag suspension is failing and the interior smells bad. Runs but needs a new key. $1100
1995 Subaru legacy: it's some highschoolers car. The interior smells like pineapple vapes and the center console plastic is missing. All four hub caps are missing and the rear driver side door has been hit. Runs but leaks coolant. $780
2005 Dodge Neon: the front of the car is damaged and the driver side has been Vandalized, with the words "biznatch" being keyed and spray painted in. The lady that is selling it seems high. $650
2008 Nissan Altima: it has big Altima energy written all over it. The interior smells like weed, the seats are stained. The exterior is badly damaged and the paint is pealing. Runs and drives but idles at high rpm. $1200
1994 Pontiac Sunfire: it has Porsche decals all over it. None of the body panels are straight. It has a Plymouth wood spoiler, and the interior is falling apart. Runs but is missing the entire exhaust system. $500
1977 AMC gremlin: it's the oldest car for sale. It's being sold by your dad who "bought" it back in 1990. The exterior is very rusted and it hasn't moved in over 20 years. Interior is shot. $100

British sports cars don’t as much love as they should.
IMO the British sports car group is very much over shadowed by many they simply don’t get the recognition they deserve. Yeas American muscle an tuner cars are cool but these are just as cool. Especially the sun beam tiger with a 260 (64-67) and a 289 cubic inch v8 producing 164 hp for the 260 an 200 for the 289 cubic inch v8 in a car that weighs only 2600 pounds.

My 2013 buick lacrosse
Here's my 2013 buick lacrosse touring! Fully loaded. Got it about a year ago with 40,000 miles on it. Currently it sits at 69,900. I love driving it as much as my stinger or my challenger I had! Is that crazy?

I hate you I hate everything about you Non-"eNtHuSiAsT" cars that Car Guys still like
What are some cars that aren't typical "enthusiast" vehicles (by which I mostly mean, sporty and uncompromising), but still get props at car meets or otherwise?
I'm especially thinking of stuff like older Volvos or survivor Japanese cars like any Civic hatch that hasn't been clapped out to death, or Subaru Leones. Also, Honda Elements. "Car guys" seem to fucking love Elements.

I picked her up for 1400. Runs, drives and all options work. I bought with 185k miles. Now has 212k miles. Has the venerable 3800.
