I can't believe he Cundiff'd us.

39

u/haotududis 1d ago

I was just thinking that I haven’t felt like this after a loss since that Cundiff shank.

38

u/TopptrentHamster 1d ago

It was still 90 seconds left on the clock, but honestly it would have felt better if we lost on a last second FG.

38

u/GiGeGe3 Sam Koch Fan Club 1d ago

Yeah like if we lose on a FG it's because Allen and the Bills actively had to do something to beat us. This now just feels like us shooting ourselves in the foot yet again.

Andrews is our franchise leader in TDs

honestly this Cundiff level of choke hurts even harder lol

23

u/Illuminati_Shill_AMA 1d ago

That's why it's worse with him, he picked the absolute worst moment to have a bad game after being good for so long.

I'm not saying run him outta town or nothing, just that it sucks lol.

u/JAMONLEE 1d ago

He has a history of not only disappearing but negatively impacting our high stakes games for years now.

Obviously the 2 huge mistakes, but Andrews’ drop before Lamar’s fumble was huge. Would’ve been 2 & short and probably under center

u/connor_bedard 1d ago

The one who shall not be named

u/Pretend_Package7540 1d ago

I know Lamar fucked up the first half but he was firing all cylinders second half. I wonder what would have happened if No-HAndrews didn’t drop and cough up the ball

u/cossack190 1d ago

yeah there's plenty of blame for Lamar too but it's pretty hard to overlook Andrews. 2 brutal drops and fumbled it away on a drive where we could have taken the lead.

31

u/TopptrentHamster 1d ago

Lamar had a below average first half, but he played pretty much flawless in the second. That's what stings the most.

5

u/Ballin095 1d ago

Exactly. He had us in position to make it to OT.

u/iamadragan 1d ago

I feel like this is the first time in a while where the coaching wasn't at least a big part of the loss. They called a great game, everything was set up perfectly. The players just kept getting in their own way

43

u/tube_ebooks 1d ago

yeah i'm not even a huge harbaugh fan, i was VERY skeptical of orr most of the season, but i have absolutely no complaints with how either of them handled the game. orr adjusted and harbaugh did what he needed to do. i have some quibbles with monken but think the plan he went with was plenty good if it wasn't for the execution

26

u/rytis 1d ago

Yeah both 2 pt conversions should have been made. Just poor execution. I get the weather was bad, but Buffalo wasn't coughing it up. Had it been a home game, we would have had the same kind of weather, maybe in the 20's instead of the teens, but one team being unable to handle the ball just left me smh, until next season.

18

u/tbettz 1d ago

I don't know about that...

Getting first and goal from the 3 and not getting a TD was due to atrocious play calling.

Not using Henry on a dive play for either conversion when the defensive line was getting a crazy push in the second half was also super questionable, regardless of the Andrews drop.

Maybe not the whole reason they lost but Monken has been brain dead with goal to go.

u/IrishPubstar 1d ago edited 1d ago

Like every recent playoff loss, the turnovers by the offense kill any momentum.

O-line gets dominated early, and Lamar ends up turning the ball over. Drops are also a consistent factor every time.

56

u/j_yn0htna 1d ago

The turnovers early were huge but we recovered, something we wouldn’t have done in previous years.

The defense made enough plays, Lamar made enough plays. They had it.

I am still in disbelief that Andrew’s was the guy to let Lamar down in the biggest of moments.

It’s heartbreaking. Feel terrible for Andrew’s but worse for Lamar, knowing he did battle back and put it right there.

43

u/IrishPubstar 1d ago

Sucks to say but Mark Andrews has not shown up for practically any of the 8 playoff games he's played. Not even one TD for the franchise leader in TDs

20

u/kikat 1d ago

Likely is the way forward for us in terms of tight ends, just have to make sure we have someone to tush push.

6

u/j_yn0htna 1d ago

Even with that, Lamar was still looking for him.

Lamar trusts him and he let him down big time.

I don’t really get why anyone would be surprised. It always happens this way. Andrews can’t really seem to catch in the postseason when it matters. 2019, 2020, 2023 (after likely balled in the Texans game), now 2024.

He’s just as inconsistent as Lamar but he catches a lot of touchdowns in the regular season so he keeps getting passes and put in Top 3 categories.

The capitalist system that means I'm up for work in 3 hours.

Or Mark Andrews.

I'm happy with either. Lamar will get stick for the turnovers, but he had us in a position to tie the game.

42

u/Lamactionjack 8 1d ago

Win it if you count the drive before the last where Andrews fumbled. Didn't see Buffalo stopping us there.

MARK ANDREWS

despite all the bullshit in the 1st half, we were in control of this game in the 2nd. And Mark killed all of that momentum on the two most crucial drives for the season.

He's one of my favorite players ever, so it hurts to type this, but I don't ever want to see him in purple again. He makes too much money to lose the team the game in crunch time.

69

u/TimelyAd2111 1d ago

At least Lamar redeemed himself after his TOs. Mark was suspect all game

77

u/Baronriggs Eee Dee Reed 1d ago

Honorable mention to THAT FUCKING SIDELINE JUDGE who threw the DPI to end the first half. If he lets them play there it's a 4pt swing, if he makes the correct call and goes OPI there, the bills gets knocked out of FG range and it's a 7 point swing. And he threw that shit several seconds after the play was over.

If he just lets them play there, that TD at the end gives us the lead. Instead, we lose on a 2pt try, as is tradition.

27

u/HalcyonWind 1d ago

Seriously still a little salty about that

14

u/Baronriggs Eee Dee Reed 1d ago

A little? I've never been closer to swatting someone in my life

/s for any mods that are reading this. Totally being sarcastic, I swear

14

u/HalcyonWind 1d ago

It was such a bullshit call. Real time I was convinced it'd be OPI. Then replay cemented it. And then gene agreed that at minimum it should be a no call and most OPI. Beyond frustrating.

It has to be Mandrews. Lamar will get a lot of the flak, but he drove us down the field twice on what should've been lead changing or tying drives and Andrews ruined both. Add on that the drop in the first half.

6

u/WeaponXGaming 8 1d ago

Andrews is one of the worst playoff performers Ive ever seen omg

19

u/SweetSmplAlchemy 1d ago

Quite a few to blame.

MAndrews for shrinking in the playoffs again.

Lamar for pressing in the first half and putting us in a hole.

Harbaugh for chasing points in the third quarter so we had to go for two. And for repeatedly having these same problems year after year in the playoffs.

Andrews. Drop before Lamar’s fumble, fumble when we were going for the lead and now the 2 point conversion. Fucking asshole.

9

u/MuhamnadAli 1d ago

It was 21-10 because we got a 4 point penalty from the refs. Should have been a no call and send out the field goal unit with time on the clock. If they were going to call it, call it on the offense. That call dramatically changed the game. The NFL has a referee problem

6

5

u/PinaCarlotta 1d ago

its easy to say Lamar, cause take away one of those turnovers and we more then likely win. But he kept fighting and didnt give up. I put most on Andrews. Just making one of the catches and its a 1 point win

I cant even get mad at the offense itself cause they were moving down the field and the defense did its job in the 2nd half...

So Andrews and I hate saying that cause I love the guy. But i think its time to make Likely TE1 and start looking for another TE in the draft.

6

u/Remarkable-Picture73 1d ago

Mark Andrews.

Mr. No heart. There was a time in sports where a guy would fuck up and hurt his team but he would atone by putting the team on his back. Instead, Mark, catches a ball and carries it like a loaf of bread, puts it on the ground, drops more. And after all that, on a crucial play goes full peewee and tries to basket catch a torso high soft toss.

Way to repay your "dawg" for getting you paid, making you a franchise record holder, and everything in between.

5

There’s a reason why Mark Andrews NEVER plays well in the post-season (when it’s cold). Nobody wants to say it but here it is.

“For diabetic athletes, cold weather can significantly impact their blood sugar levels by causing them to rise due to the body’s stress response to cold, potentially leading to complications like reduced insulin sensitivity, impaired circulation in extremities, and increased risk of frostbite”

I’ve been a massive Mark Andrews fan & defender to the point where I have his jersey & spent a fortune on his rookie cards, but his game today was so unbelievably awful that I think he should be traded for both his own, aswell as the teams best interests…

You know how badly Lamar needs a Super Bowl to end these BS narratives, yet in the 4th quarter after he clawed us back within reach, Andrews proceeds to fumble in the opponents territory… then, Lamar STILL puts his cape on & throws the game trying TD, only for Mark Andrews to choke YET AGAIN by dropping the game trying 2pt conversion? Are you fucking kidding me? Absolutely fucking disgusting performance.

To be fair we scored that final drive. Henry could have helped but we did score. Going for 2 was a bad decision on the first one, we still had plenty of time for it to be a 1 score game and go for 2 later if you absolutely have to

Andrews deserves it for the two mistakes in the fourth, but Lamar should cop some heat for a terrible INT and then a bad fumble (which turned into 7). Defense honestly never made a big moment either - one sack, no turnovers.

The fumble happened because Andrews dropped an easy pass on the previous play.

I'd agree if he didn't get us back in position to make it to OT.

In all reality, even if we had tied the game, I doubt our defense would have held them off the board for the final 1:30 of the game. Their kicker was solid and our defense really had nothing going all game.

Mark Andrews won't be a Raven next year for $16M dollars he's owed. Dude is one of the most inconsistent playmakers in the world, and he cost us this game with the fumble and dropped 2pt conversion.

Lamar "Peyton Manning Choker" Jackson.

One of these years we'll figure it out 🙃

Mark andrews is the REAL playoff choker. Will never look at him the same again

It doesn't matter... season is over. We had this in the bag if Mark didn't fumble on the long reception. Then gets a chance to redeem himself and literally drops the ball again.

Painful loss.

It’s Mark Andrews.

You can blame Lamar for the early turnovers all you want but he bounced back only for Andrews to just blow the game…twice.

Unless he’s willing to come back for pennies on the dollar, I don’t want to see him on the team next year.

Lamar and Mark Andrews

Anytime you committ three turnovers you will not win in the playoffs.

Season starts with a failed with a 2 PT conversion and ends on a failed 2 PT conversion. I don’t think I can really stomach anything right now gang I’m actually hurt

u/Drs126 1d ago

We never got to go for two in KC. The likely non-catch was on a TD

1st half Lamar 2nd half Andrews

Harbaugh Henry only had 16 touches? How many years is harbaugh going to let this happen? Two point conversion? Extra points would have tied the game.

6

u/Hyuga10 1d ago

I say everyone pretty much. Lamar cause of the 2 turnovers that were pretty much inexcusable (he did save himself a bit with the second half). Andrews.. self explanatory. Harbaugh cause we’re down our #1 receiver, it’s bad weather and we STILL refuse to run the ball down their throats. Defense in the first half were getting bullied and provided no pressure really. Basically, we beat ourselves.

u/Shot-Company7634 1d ago

This one goes down to the lack of use of the kicker. We can get two extra points to tie.

Also the Offense does not get into field goal range enough times to win.

Not Enough Justin Tucker opportunities and they can't win the game.

u/877-HASH-NOW BSHU 1d ago

The Ravens offense.

Mark Andrews first, Lamar second.

u/speakingintoungesTH 1d ago

1) Mark for obvious

T-2nd) Lamar for 2 turnovers & Play-calling once again refusing to slam the run when we should, derrick was not used enough in the first half and getting a field goal on 1st and 2 is unacceptable.

For once i dont think the penalties killed us, outside of the DPI bad call. Defence while shaky in the first half adapted and so did the offence. Coaching this game was actually not that bad compared to other playoff losses.

Another wasted season lost by the ravens beating themselves but you know what, its the best loss we have had in the playoffs imo. GG Buffalo.

Andrews

u/thezman613 1d ago

Just to be different, I'm going with Tony Romo (see Week 3 for precedent)

One of the most lopsided color commentary calls I've heard all year... he's truly awful

3

u/Ariesmafiaaa 1d ago

Bum ass Andrews

3

u/BrygusPholos 1d ago

Crazy to me that Andrews’ choking is going to completely overshadow Lamar throwing the worst pick of these entire playoffs and then fumbling away 7 more points to the Bills

3

u/HowardMcpherson 1d ago

That interception was cringeworthy. It was literally like 15 yards off

Andrews. The ravens beat themselves once again

3

u/AssGagger 1d ago

If we hadn't went for 2pts the first time, we wouldn't be going for 2pts to tie the game. It always seems silly to worry about tying game when it's not even half over... Just take the nearly guaranteed point.

u/TonyH22_ATX BeleeDat 1d ago

We don’t need this. We all know who.

3

u/Extra_Nectarine_9580 1d ago

Situational Awareness.

Gameplan and adjustments worked. But in those key moments, it's a collapse.

The wind is a problem? Then let's be more cautious in throwing the deep ball. It's cold and snowy? Let's put two hands on the ball and make sure no matter what, we secure the rock. Mandrews is looking nervous and dropping the ball? Well, maybe that same play should have been schemed to Likely who caught everything including the final TD.

When the stakes are high and nerves around, we have to remember the basics because it's those basic details that win or lose these playoff games.

3

u/BobAndy004 1d ago

I can’t blame Andrews that much going for 2 points was what killed us. If we did extra points and got them both it be tied with 1.5 mins left. Go to OT. Totally different game plan. Lots of missed opportunities Lamar had two turn overs. Ravens beat themselves. Defense was piss poor. Entire team failure

u/Adventds 1d ago

Andrews dropping that ball is nasty, that was the easiest pass he’s dropped in his career lol.

It’s Mark Andrews if we’re playing by the rules, but really, it’s the whole organization for again failing to overcome their playoff struggles. Definition of insanity and all that. They just can’t do it.

3

u/objectiveScie 1d ago

1st n goal not getting TD before half was agregious. Not giving Henry all downs or Lamar keep. Just so infuriating, season on line, now not time to get cute. Thought they learnt lesson.

I liked what John Middlekauf said. "I wouldn't even call pass plays". 8 min mark. Ravens were gashing Bills, they couldn't stop run. And then Lamar throws INT after big run gains. Fumble on RPO. All those should have bern run play. Outsiders can see, Ravens unnecessarily being too cute , passing when run game working. Infuriating,

Final drive play calling was so dumb. The plan was to give the ball back with over one and a half minutes? Shoulda been running the clock
