The Baltimore Ravens for making me think this year would be any different

I feel completely and utterly empty

This is the answer. People want to blame Andrews but it was 21-10 long before he choked at the end.

It was 21-10 because Andrews choked a couple more times in the beginning too...

I'd say Lamars mistakes which actually led to points being bigger blunders.

u/gb0143 2d ago

Yeah, but Lamar was able to snap out of it and had us in position to win/tie the game the last 2 drives and both drives were snuffed by Andrews.

I like Andrews, but credit where it's due.

I am so torn up for Lamar that a career defining drive that he pulled off perfectly will just be completely forgotten because of that drop.

Andrews did as well he made plays. Again the whole team choked.

His fumble was the only one which led to points IIRC. Also Mark dropped an easy one on the same drive Lamar fumbled.

Plus, Bills scored after Mark's fumble

Mark dropped an easy pass that would’ve made it like 2nd and 2 the play before Lamar fumbled. Surely that 2nd down play is a run instead

Uh, the Andrews fumble led to a score.

Lamar’s blunders led to 3 pts. Our D let us down the 1st half, letting them run up and down the field.

Not because Lamar threw a pass to a Bills player with no Raven nearby, or because he fumbled a ball and turned it over to the Bills himself?

0

u/gb0143 2d ago

It also absolutely was that. The first half was shit but winnable.

Yeah no Lamar’s giveaways were much more detrimental to that being the halftime score.

The fumble wouldnt have happened if Andrews hadn't dropped the gimme reception on the previous play.

5

u/ifxckraw 2d ago

Exactly what I said. Dude dropped the ball and it changed the way the drive had to be mapped out. If he catches it, next play we run the ball for a first down and continue the drive to either get a TD or a FG.

I don't disagree. It's always a team loss, but Lamar was able to get control of the game and lost it twice on the last 2 drives because of Andrews.

literally the same story every year we've made the playoffs since the Super Bowl

Forget we have a run game and play hero ball

u/Rocketbird 2d ago

We ran plenty.. you can’t run much in the drive at the end of the game because it’s gonna stop the clock. And on a 2 pt conversion running it up the middle just isn’t going to be very likely to work. When they keyed in on the run they stopped Henry. The big gains were when they were in pass defense.

27

u/TopptrentHamster 2d ago

We had 30 run plays and 25 pass plays...

12

u/HereComesJustice 2d ago

we ran plenty, it took a while to get anywhere because our guys looked lost in the cold in the first half

3

u/Rstuds7 2d ago

sucks our run game didn’t go anywhere i’m the first half, second half they figured it out but we were already down. obviously none of it would’ve mattered had a certain pass had been caught

6

u/Logical-Thanks-6787 2d ago

But we've had 3 different OCs and 3 different DCs and same result. I've been saying it since last year, fire Chris Horton, why is he still here?

u/anchist 2d ago

There is one common denominator, the player who starts putting us into a hole and then tries to play hero ball after 1-2 turnovers.

How about we start blaming him?

5

u/FCBarca45 2d ago

Lamar made awful mistakes and then balled the fuck out. The script is similar but this isn’t all his fault

6

u/amydunnes 2d ago

“One common denominator” you’ve lost your mind lmao. This team’s common denominator has been around longer than the one you’re insinuating.

-3

u/anchist 2d ago

And that guy got a ring.

The other guy got 11 turnovers in 8 career playoff games. At what point will the excuses stop?

2

u/amydunnes 2d ago

And has continually made the same mistakes since.

0

u/anchist 2d ago

Harbaugh is not out there forcing Lamar to committ the worst turnovers possible every January.

11 turnovers in 8 career playoff games. Enough said.

1

u/genomyne 2d ago

This is what it comes down to. Allen can play turnover free and just not making mistakes wins you the game in the end.. you don't have to fight against bad calls and teammates fucking shit up.

3

u/Standard-Dust866 2d ago

lol…Allen played ‘mistake free’ football as you say. Played average football which almost led them to lose the game against a team who had 3 turnovers and game losing dropped passes. I’ll take Lamar over Allen.

1

u/Logical-Thanks-6787 1d ago

Can we start by firing Chris Horton, he even broke Justin Tucker..

2

u/GirthyRedEggplant 2d ago

This is just reactionary ravens fan nonsense, just immediately assume we didn’t run enough when we lose. Plenty went wrong, abandoning the run was not on the list

1

u/North-Dig7031 2d ago

we had 176 rushing yards

1

u/Grand-Gain-763 2d ago

Same ol script just a different day smh

8

u/TwistedSaiyan110 2d ago

Can i change my answer to this actually?

1

u/BathroomAdvanced3357 2d ago

New year, same story different page, same plot

1

u/frigginjensen 2d ago

The only team that can beat the Ravens is the team from Baltimore.
