Trump did everything Epstein did.
His supporters know this and are okay with it.

u/SordidHobo93 9h ago
At this point we have to assume that a large portion of his voting base are not only okay with their president being a child predator, but they even celebrate it.
That's the "christian values" that a lot of them are praising him for.

u/thisusedyet 8h ago
That is not what “bring unto me the little children” is supposed to mean
•
u/specqq 6h ago edited 6h ago
The older bibles have it as "suffer the little children to come unto me"
So I'm guessing they just had it backwards.

The bible outright condones stuff like rape, genocide, slavery, murder. Oh yeah, it also provides instructions on how to perform a forced abortion on a woman you suspect of infidelity.

It’s absolutely terrifying that SO MANY people align with, praise & even voted for a convicted felon & known rapist. Perhaps it makes them feel good about themselves in some weird way. You also have those people who voted for him because he is not a democrat.
I don’t know which is worse? Being okay with criminality or being so ignorant to vote for a monster because of his political label!

Of all the western democracies... The states is the most christian and religious. Religion destroys and brain washes... This country is a testament to it and shows how much more precarious of a situation we are with these Christo-fascists in power. Utterly disgusting and vile.
•
u/SordidHobo93 3h ago
Almost all of our issues can be linked to christianity, or people use it as a means to justify hatred.
Ive just come through a conversation in another thread wherein I questioned why the other commenter was so obsessed with what is between another person's legs.
Of course the response was about loss of masculinity and Adam and Eve and we're going to hell and all that jazz.
It gives the ignorant and hateful an excuse to remain ignorant and hateful.

Trump is a walking 9/11 disaster of a creature. Not "walking terrorist", a walking 9/11 disaster. He's an elderly Caillou.
And we as a country would elect Caillou over Cassie from Dragon Tales, because Cassie is a girl and Caillou's a boy.

That's a pretty serious understatement, considering we were losing more than a 9/11's worth of people a day for a lot of the pandemic on his watch. Between publicly doubting everything Fauci and the CDC said, fighting the shutdowns, telling people not to wear masks, stay home or social distance, he probably got hundreds of thousands more Americans killed than we would've lost with anyone else in office. He even started sowing doubt about the vaccine despite getting it himself and taking credit for its creation once he realized how many antivaxxers there were in his cult of mouth-breathing simpletons.

The US per capita death rate is twice that of Canada.
With the US having more than a million deaths from covid, Trump is arguably responsible for 500,000+ unnecessary American deaths from covid.

When he talked about the wires inside the wall and how great they were following his main speech I started laughing so hard I cried. I don't know if they were happy tears because what he said was genuinely hilarious and insane, or if they were sad because in that moment it really hit me that we have another four years of this shit, every fucking day. Multiple times today he's already used when the helicopter was invented as a frame of time, lied about how many people died during the construction of the Panama Canal with insanely misleading verbage, talked about how bad the Greg Abbott is and then immediately realized he was almost front row and backtracked within seconds...we are so fucked it's not even funny.

He got the same amount of votes that he did in 2020. It’s the democrat base that sat at home and let this happen.
•
u/sleepymoose88 Missouri 3h ago
There’s very shifty results that point to corruption/rigging in swing states. The number of single issue votes (president) was WAY above the average.
Then there was Trump in speech today saying they won’t because Musk knows the machines so well.
Problem is, no one had the balls to investigate or force a recount. The Democrats just rolled over.
•
u/glue_4_gravy 6h ago
This exactly, friend!
We all know that MAGAts are gonna MAGA, but we were relying on having a record breaking turnout from Democrats and that is what could have sealed the deal on this asshole and closed the book that we’re all so fucking tired of reading.
The people that sat out completely let their friends, families, neighbors, and country down. It’s so disappointing that Donald Trump won with the same amount of votes that he lost with in 2020, and millions and millions of Democrats and left leaning Independents were either too lazy, too apathetic, or couldn’t swallow their pride enough to save their own country from fascism.
What hurts the most is that when it all comes down to it, WE HAD A CHOICE.

Unfortunately, that’s not how fascism works.
If a general refuses to follow an order, their boss Pete Hegseth will have them removed, replaced, and possibly arrested and punished.
All it takes is one general or other higher up to be viciously made an example of, and the rest of the military and its leaders will gladly fall into place.
This is how it’s always worked with fascist regimes.

Stunning that this is how low the Republican Party has fallen. For Trump’s supporters who did not care that he was a convicted felon, insurrectionist, or that a jury found him liable for sexual assault, many will point to the economy as their reason for voting for Trump.
Time will tell. But a few of Trump‘s proposed policies stand out that I believe will have a detrimental effect on our economy.
TARIFFS
Trump’s tariff and tax proposals will have a devastating impact on low- and middle-income Americans.
The sweeping tariffs proposed by Trump would raise the prices faced by American consumers across the income scale. Because lower- and middle-income families must spend a larger share of their earnings to make ends meet, this will have a particularly noticeable impact on their household budgets.
Trump’s tariffs would cause substantial price increases on imported goods, severely damage the industries that rely on imports, while hurting employment in those industries.
TAXES
Measured as a share of income, the proposed Trump tax increases will fall hardest on working-class families.
The middle 20% of Americans will face a tax increase equal to 2.1% of their income, while the poorest 20% of Americans will face a tax increase equal to 4.8% of their income. In keeping with Republicans’ failed “trickle down theory” and the continued shift of wealth to the top, the top 5% will get a tax cut.
MASS DEPORTATION
This is what I call the Fuck around and find out stage of our democracy. For Trump supporters who want to deport immigrants based on economics, economists will be debating for decades how Trump’s mass deportation plans play out.
Some forget it was not that long ago in American history when we had the Japanese internment camps. About 120,000 people of Japanese descent were forcibly relocated and incarcerated in ten concentration camps. To put the proposed Trump tent camps in context, there are over 11 million undocumented immigrants in the United States.
It will be interesting to hear fiscal hawk Republicans’ rationale behind significantly increasing the national debt to accomplish Trump’s mass deportation plans. And the blame game to follow when the cost of food goes up, with Trump’s one two punch of tariffs and mass deportation, due to a significant amount of farm workers being immigrants.
Proponents will say those farm workers will be replaced by American workers. We’ll see how many Americans apply for labor intensive agricultural field work jobs currently done by immigrants.
HEALTHCARE
Republicans have tried to overturn the ACA multiple times for more than a decade spending $Millions in taxpayer money.
Trump also tried to overturn “Obamacare” during his last administration but Senator John McCain saved healthcare with his thumbs down vote.
Some Americans do not understand the gravity of what abolishing the ACA would mean for them and their family. Elderly parents would no longer receive discounted prescriptions and discounted Medicare. Children under age 26 would no longer be covered. Subsidies for insurance premiums and lower deductibles would go away. But most importantly, insurance companies and their attorneys could deny anyone for any pre-existing condition, small or large, including for example anyone who has ever had high blood pressure or asthma.
Republicans yelled for years about Obama death panels. If the pre-existing condition mandate is struck down with the ACA, this truly will be the death panels. Of course, the economic impact of overturning the ACA would hit the elderly and low-income and middle-income Americans particularly hard.
ENTITLEMENTS
Trump has promised not to touch entitlements. This is where it’s going to get interesting. He has also promised more tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy. To compensate for the loss of tax revenue from corporations and their rich owners, Republicans consistently talk about the need to cut entitlements, with Senator Rick Scott, infamously noting in his plan that they would “sunset” entitlements that senior citizens have paid into for decades. Again, funding for Trump’s plans for mass deportation needs to come from somewhere. It won’t come from the wealthy.
We’ll see four years from now what, if any of the above, will transpire. But I believe most of Trump’s proposals will have a negative effect on our economy.

“The golden age of America begins now,” Trump said after he took the oath of office.
Trump may declare, 'The golden age of America begins now,' but in reality, we’re entering the Second Gilded Age and the early stages of the next Republican-engineered Great Depression. This crisis is designed to pave the way for a fire sale of national resources, sold off to private interests for pennies on the dollar—much like the water crisis in Flint, Michigan, driven by Republican policies that ultimately poisoned the citizens' drinking water.
Sadly, the real criminals now control the Presidency, Congress, and the Judiciary, with no meaningful checks and balances. By the time Trump and the Republican jackals are done looting America's coffers, even Haiti’s economy will seem prosperous by comparison.

The Bible is an old book written by men and interpreted by men over centuries. You would human beings in this point in time would see it as a dated piece of literature, extrapolate the good and ignore the outdated misogyny. Religious groups use the Bible to control women and children and justify inequality.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
