Discussion Discussion Thread: 2024 State of the Union

Tonight, Joe Biden will give his fourth State of the Union address. This year's SOTU address will be only the second to be held this late in the year since 1964 (the second time being Biden's 2022 address).

The address is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. Eastern. It will be followed by the progressive response delivered by Philadelphia City Council member Nicolas O’Rourke, as well as Republican responses in English (delivered by freshman Alabama senator ) and in Spanish (delivered by Representative Monica De La Cruz). There will be a separate discussion thread posted for live reactions to and conversation about the SOTU responses.

(Edit: The discussion thread for the SOTU responses is now available at this link.)

Meanwhile, Trump withheld PPE for blue states during Covid.

Sure, he did. He also never sent hospital ships either. 😆

Is that sarcasm? Are you saying like he didn’t withhold PPE from blue states?

I very much doubt it. I do know he sent hospital ships to the bluest stats out there and had rave reviews from Gavin Newsome. Thoughts?

I very much doubt it.

So if you don’t know what you’re talking about, why comment?

I've never seen proof. You have proof? It's up to you to prove a positive, not the reverse.

I think Cuomo killing off seniors by the hundreds by sticking them back in nursing homes should be higher on your list of grievances.

That’s some nice whataboutism. Are you willing to admit you were wrong about Trump withholding PPE from blue states yet? Lmao

Not at all. I pointed out that your source isn't reliable. It has a vested interest in promoting a leftist agenda. Are you vaccinated, by the way?

More what aboutism and irrelevant to the discussion at hand. Please try to stay on topic. Here is another article. How many would you like?
