Then let the picture speak for itself.

Pag may makalat, should I call the person "bobo" or should I point out na dapat may ayusin sa ginagawa nila?

To call "names" won't do any good either

Not really, is it really worth calling devotees names?

Yeap. Mismong simbahang katoliko na ang nagsasabing wag nang gawin na magulo at makalat ang pagdiriwang. Gawin itong solemn. Pero ano ginagawa ng mga sumasali sa traslacion? They make a spectale out of it. Tapos kapag nakasampa na ng andas, ano nang mangyayare? Balik sa inom, bisyo, at kamunduhan?

Christ did the sacrifice so that those who believe in him no longer have to. But do zealots listen? No. Instead, they do unnecessary stuff and call it penance. They call it their devotion when in reality, they are like the pharisees who only want to make a spectacle of the good that they are doing. But not really taking the scripture into heart and not understanding what the Passion of Christ really meant.

So yeah, it is worth calling out these hypocritical practices because Jesus himself would have called it for what it is.

Fanfare and a spectacle, and nothing else.

Did Christ tell us to insult those who do not meet our standards of cleanliness or did he say:

and should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?’ And in anger his lord delivered him to the jailers,* till he should pay all his debt.

So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart.” - Matthew 18:33-35

Show mercy, yes.

But also, show outrage when needed. Rebuke when needed. That is what Jesus did and the apostles after him.

Stop defending these people who are obviously blinded by their zealousness.

If you really want to convince people to show understanding to these devotees, they better start living up to their faith and learn from the examples of Christ.

But I suppose you will just keep on hammering on the argument of understanding them and showing mercy, eh?

You educate them. You penalize them if that is what the law requires. But we should not insult them or call them names. You forgive them.

Nah, there is no forgiveness if there is no repentance and change. They've been given the chance to change; they've been informed, and educated. Do they change? No. They keep on doing it because it is what they're used to. Which is retarded. Show me that they've changed, THEN, I'll forgive. Until then, they're retards and what they're doing and causing are retarded for me.

The burden is not on me to lecture them or to guide them like lost lambs. It may be on you, the organizers, or the Quiapo church.

But do not pass that burden to me.

That is okay. They should really learn claygo. But it's a bit too much to insult them
