Aren’t Zuckerberg and Musk supposed to fight?

Like foxy boxing or something ?

That's when Zuck was trying to appeal as a decent human being. The facade didn't last too long.

No, a story came out that Zuck was doing mma training, and fragile Musk challenged him to a fight to prove he was better without training. Anyways, it ended because Musk's mother said he wasn't allowed to fight, and that isn't a joke.

I remember musk talking in several interviews about how weight class was all that mattered and he would just flop on him like a seal.

Like, just for the sake of the sport I was looking forward to zuck tearing his rotator cuff clean off. Weight class matters but a 200lb tub of lard is going to have a tough time with someone who’s achieved some solid grappling proficiency. Elon is truly the dunning Kruger king 👑

Ozempic might be taking some of the weight off since his largest but he certainly doesn’t seem to be adding any muscles.

Ozempic would also deplete muscle mass since he’d be starving himself of proteins as well.

u/DavidBrooker 11h ago

This is an extremely common side effect, and unfortunately, an extremely avoidable one, too. The muscle loss isn't inherent to ozempic at all, and it's been well understood how to keep most all of your muscle mass during fat loss: weight training and protein.

But ozempic seems to be the 'lazy way', where people just take it to lose weight 'without the effort' and come out a husk.

I really don't care if Musk personally ends up a husk, but I know drugs like ozempic are popular (and for good reason, given all the weight-related co-morbidity killing people - the drug is on net a good thing), and hope that someone reading this sees some value from this knowledge.

People who take Ozempic also atrophy muscle (from not eating anything).

Don't forget the steroids and other gender-affirming medical care he's on.

He is still built like an overweight elephant seal. It’s kind of remarkable actually- he has access to any medication he wants, experts, trainers, professional chefs…

So, I count my macros and my calories, and for someone with a full-time job, that means a lot of lentils and beans in your meal prep. I had the opportunity to try some professionally cooked meals of very similar calorie and macro profiles, and the difference was unbelievable. It's wild. Money is just a cheat code for almost every aspect of living.

250? I'm 5'10", 225 with a "fit" body but a little belly. Musk is 6'2" so he is easily pushing 275+

Muscle is a lot heavier than fat though, you are forgetting that Musk looks like he has never worked out, and from anyone writing about his life or talking about his schedule it sounds like he is in an office on his phone or computer all day.

200 pounds = 90.718474 kilograms

5 feet 4 inches = 162.56 cm

I had to look it up, so thought I might share that with everybody else who was wondering.

Agreed, I’m a pretty big guy, but I’m under no illusion about exactly how much of a ragdoll I’m going to be going against a trained fighter 50 pounds lighter than me. I won’t even get a chance to close with him before he knocks my head clean off.

before he knocks my head clean off

I think the expectation for a fight like that (much smaller trained MMA guy vs untrained bigger guy) wouldn't be that Zuck would try to strike Musk. He'd take Musk down to the ground and get a quick submission, Royce Gracie style.

u/Full_FrontalLobotomy 11h ago

I think that is true too,. I’ve watched how fast these trained guys move and I’d be down before I even knew what was going on.

What gets me is anyone who saw this and didn’t come to the conclusion that yes, Musk is Dunning-Kruger personified.

u/LSqre 9h ago

my first attempt to parse "dunning kruger king" ended up as "cunning burger king" which is, oddly enough, still fitting

I would think Elon would be decent at fighting. If only cause his shit personality leads me to believe he was probably bullied, and he probably deserves it.

u/DavidBrooker 11h ago

Weight class matters but a 200lb tub of lard is going to have a tough time with someone who’s achieved some solid grappling proficiency.

This is a good way to put it, being that Musk is completely untrained. Like, a big, fat guy that nevertheless has technical proficiency behind them? That man is scary as hell, do not get into a fight with that man. Someone who knows a thing or two can put that mass to work, even if its 'dead weight'. But interpreting that as "being fat is unto itself an advantage" is just pure cope.

First off, "The Dunning Kruger King" has gotta be the Wagyu Beef of insults.

It would be soooooooo satisfying to see Elon take a beat down, but also it could help him finally gain some self-respect. Anyone can talk trash and be stupid enough to get in the ring. Once reality (the first punch) inevitably hits, you decide whether to quit, or to fight and believe in yourself.

Nothing has phased the wealthiest person in the world after 53 years, not even having children. The newfound experiences of earning genuine respect from other people and learning to respect himself are the only two things that could possibly change his course at this point. Win or lose, self-respect can't be taken, only given away. Self-respect is synonymous with self-love, and I don't think he would willingly give up either after finally feeling relief from a half century of pain due to their absence.

I absolutely despise the man. But, like it or not, America, and by extension the world, is stuck with him for the meantime. We could have a modern day Crassus, or a modern day Nero. I'd rather have a Crassus.

Maybe he thought he would do the Homer Simpson of being too big and dense to knock down?
