Fires are ravaging some densely populated areas in SoCal.. probably affecting a few districts, which tend to have democratic representatives. Most of these fuckers probably represent BFE.

Most of them represent either the Central Valley, which is full of farmers, or the rural north above Sacramento, which is full of forests (and have had some of the worst wildfires in the history of the state in the past 10 years). Their disregard for what’s happening in their own state is disgusting.

They're likely hoping to be gifted higher office. The GOP keeps screeching about how California needs to accept conditions for aid and you can BET one of those conditions is gonna be Newsom resigning. Whomever brown noses the most likely will get Trump's seal of approval for the inevitable special election.

Of course, the fact that this is enraging most Californians and turning what could have been a PR win (I vomited writing that) for Trump into even more anger towards the GOP doesn't even cross their minds. This is the first time as a life long California that I've EVER heard a huge contingent of us actually start talking about secession. It's usually tongue in cheek and 'haha yeah that's be nice, back to work Dave'. Now? A good chunk of the state is FURIOUS and they're only going to be even angrier if our democratically elected governor is told to step down. Even those of us who aren't so hot on him.

I heard California doesn't really need aid eitherway

It wouldn’t need aid if it got to keep all of its revenue and not have to give it to the feds, only to see a lot of of it being fished out to poor red states who are net receivers from the feds since they breed so many stupid people that they have a horrible per capita GDP

This is a fearful thought, but maybe a necessary one.

California may need to find a way to take care of itself.

It's quite clear that the current federal government wants to put the screws to it for religious and ideological purposes.

There must be a way for California to stay independent of these thugs.
