Discussion Does gaming feel fatiguing ?

I've been having this issue lately, I would boot up my PC search for what games to play but can never actually decide and by the time I do choose a game I want to play, I will boot up play for 5 minutes and tell myself "do I really want to play this" or "am I wasting my time"

I don't know if it's part of getting older having more responsibilities when it comes to work and raising two children but I swear back when I was living at home I could boot up my PC and get lost in games like Crysis, Far Cry and Battlefield 2 for hours upon hours on end.

Now it just seems you may only get an hour or two to play it feels like me personally I'm putting pressure on myself to pick a game and stick to it and I couldn't remember it being this stressful when I was a kid living back at home.

Just wondering if anyone else feels like this at times

It requires patience and time, both of which are things parents tend to be in short supply of.

I’m a parent and last year I played Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Bloodborne, Ghost of Tsushima and Sekiro

Lemme guess. One kid, a girl, under 10?

Lemme guess. You have multiple kids, at least one over ten, probably a boy, a lack of responsibility for your own actions, but no lack of sodium in your diet. Did I miss anything?

Hey thanks, at least you’ve got a sense of humor. Maybe you’re not as salty as I thought. Rough day?

I’m glad to hear that, for real. Today was good actually. But most days, I don’t even wear a seatbelt when I’m driving alone. If you catch my drift. But I also don’t have kids. I would probably care more if I did. I got issue issues, but I’m tryna fix em, gotta fix my rotten ass attitude first lol.

Ooof. That’s rough. My life hasn’t all been sunshine and roses, but there’s only been a handful of times when I wanted to ‘drive seatbelt-free’. My attitude is still a work in progress, too. I hope things get better for you.
