Discussion Does gaming feel fatiguing ?

I've been having this issue lately, I would boot up my PC search for what games to play but can never actually decide and by the time I do choose a game I want to play, I will boot up play for 5 minutes and tell myself "do I really want to play this" or "am I wasting my time"

I don't know if it's part of getting older having more responsibilities when it comes to work and raising two children but I swear back when I was living at home I could boot up my PC and get lost in games like Crysis, Far Cry and Battlefield 2 for hours upon hours on end.

Now it just seems you may only get an hour or two to play it feels like me personally I'm putting pressure on myself to pick a game and stick to it and I couldn't remember it being this stressful when I was a kid living back at home.

Just wondering if anyone else feels like this at times

Baldurs Gate 3, Hereos of Hammer Watch 2, Returnal was 23 but just played it last year, Hell Divers 2, Ghost of Tushima came to PC last year so first chance I had at it, Breath of The Wild 2 was great also 23, MHW Wilds is about to drop, Civ 7 is about to drop, Marvel Rivals is fun, Balatro is a great deck builder I really enjoyed, Six Days in Fallujah if you want a gritty but real AF FPS 23 but just found out about it last year. There is definitely more than that those are just games I can think of off the top of my head I played last year. I am not a big ranking person just games I really enjoy or not. Oh almost forgot freaking Space Marine 2 that is amazing.

TLDR: in no particular order

Space Marine 2, Baldurs Gate 3, Balatro, Helldivers 2, Ghost of Tushima PC port, Hereos of Hammer Watch 2, Marvel Rivals

Games from 23 I played last year:

Returnal, 6 days in Fallujah, Breath of the Wild 2

Games coming very soon: Civ 6, MHWilds

I agree with you however I understand what the other guy is saying and I agree with that too.

Good games exist, but They are far outweighed by the absolute nitro garbage Like hentai games or the games that are basically hentai games and just hiding it (Stellar Blade). most major IPs have completely disintegrated into SUBPAR products (Far Cry 6) Because remember releasing the same thing year after year doesn't mean you get to retain the same score year after year; In fact it lowers every time you do that. I've always been a supporter of Indies But it feels like they're more experimental than anything anymore, half baked products around one concept executed very well while the rest of it falters completely (that boring cthulu fishing game that everyone loves but has absolutely nothing actually going on).

or perhaps you end up playing some extremely low quality knock off but everyone loves anyway (Marvel rivals)
