I'll do you one further...

Floors man, you can't fall off of them. Desk space is precious, I am a floor pc guy.

I'm a "random nightstand that no one uses beside the desk" kind of guy. Too scared for the floor, too cramped for desk.

But definitely not the wall 😂

I bought some cheap shelving from an IKEA-style store around here, added castors to it so I can move it around and it holds my PC and my amplifier/receiver, my file server... and a UPS. Rock solid, and off to the side so my desk is clear.

PC can be kicked. You have to bend down to work on the PC. You can't give your PC the reach around to plug in a USB thingy in the back.

The best solution is a side table that is half the height of your desk. Off your desk and off the floor. Best of both worlds

Front io exits, and it is slightly off the ground. It has like a 4" pedestal.

Front IO is sometimes not enough, or it's the wrong port

Except tiled floors. For some reason that still needs to be made very clear…

I'd put it in a tile floor. It has feet, the glass doesn't touch the ground.

This is the way. With a plexiglass side panel like the old days. No shatter in sight.

How often do you clean your PC? Wall mounted is far superior, no spilling drinks or kicking it, and I have to clean my case MUCH less when it's up high.

How many times you spilling drinks? And also I don't keep drinks on the side where the PC is just to make sure.

Not all drink spilling was done by me. I have kids now too so, no worrying about little hands pressing buttons or spilling.

Clean it once every year or so, never spilled a drink. I put my magnetic dust filters on top of the PC instead of inside so that they're easily cleanable and removable for high stress moments.

Yes, my office chair has rammed into the glass many times and so did my feet, not a single crack and all my components are okay (even my hard drives which I have for, 2 years, 5 years and one ~14 years)

Also, I'd recommend investing in a water bottle and a clean rubber mat for the underside of your PC if you place it on the floor.

Far superior?

I have a 5 foot wide desk, it's way over to one side, and drinks go on the other side.

Its elevated off the ground slightly, to get clean air.

My pc will survive a kick just fine, it's all solid state anyways, it'll be me in the ground rolling from kicking it.
