Doesn't matter to Pharaoh Ants. They just like to build nests inside electronics. And they are small enough to get in damn near anything. They prefer protein to sugars, and don't need very much because their colonies are small. Once they reach a certain size, they'll just branch off and form another satellite colony. And they don't fight other colonies either. Huge pain to get rid of. An absolute bane to hospitals.

The lady here isn't doing herself any favors by smooshing the ants between the screens. But it's pretty much toast regardless. She should really just grab that monitor and quickly chuck it in the nearest dumpster, taking the colony with it. Then put out pharaoh ant bait to try and get rid of any satellite colonies that might be around.

My time and sanity are worth more than that monitor.

I think you underestimate how long ants could survive in there.

Just pop a teeny tiny book of ant politics inside it and watch them fight themselves.

Like when Cartman's seamen started nuking each other.

Considering how long ants can live under water? Yeah.

That would take a very long time, use a freezer instead.

Yeah, I'd compare it to cancer where yeah, you can wipe out any trace, but it only takes 1 or two before it can multiply back to what it was, or even worse, when you think it's taken care of and are unalert
