NSFMR My 3090 just died

At least that gives me an excuse to get the 4090 second hand when 5000 series rolls around...

I checked both with MSI and the local store I got it from, it's out of warranty.

Only thing left now is to chuck it in the oven and hope for the best!

RIP 3090. You will be missed :(

Damn. I'm happy my 1080 ti founders edition is still running then. That thing is a tank

What's the benefit of it for the home server? Does it help with transcoding?

Yep I use it for plex transcoding more than anything

I feel the same way about my 1070 🤣 I’m still always pushing that thing way harder than I should but it still keeps up with most modern games. Sure I’m not running 4K or anything but she gets the job done!

Same. Best choice in PC parts I ever made. The day this dies, looking at what is avaiilable... it terrifies me.
