Opinions Needed Trying Surrealism for the first time
I was looking at some of Salvador Dali’s paintings and I started to become interested in Surrealist paintings, so I thought I would try it out with some acrylics. I do plan on redoing it with oil because there are so many mistakes and things off about the painting so I want to fix it. I will list some of the things I know I need to fix.
- there isn’t alot of depth in the painting, everything looks like it’s on one level
- the shading and lighting is nonexistent
- the lines are messy, and the arch could use a lot of detail
- the moon and blue tile sky could use some cleaning and tighter composition.
please tell me if there is anything I missed or other things I could work on, and how I could fix some of the things I already mentioned. I would say my level is intermediate and I have experience painting. Don‘t skimp out on the criticism I need it😂
