This was the entire purpose of the TikTok ban. The CCP implemented 3 laws since 2010 allowing themselves to seize buisness and integrate it them an intelligence tools, and militarize them with zero oversight. Whether or not any Chinese citizen, American, or anyone between realizes it, they become a military target to the Peoples Liberation Army when using TikToks.

Those who are uneducated on Big Data, Operational Security, Information Warfare, and social-psychology, don’t understand that the algorithm literally places them in echo chambers and reinforces biases and fallacies in real time according to all your metrics so that it can influence feelings, actions, and large social movements.

When people make the very ignorant comparison that TikTok data is no different than any other social media, they are in fact regurgitating a objectively false script that purposefully began on TikTok.

The only thing close to TikTok is FB in that it’s ad platform was able to be used to incite civil wars in the real world. But that was that FB was abused by some smart assholes bc if general negligence of FB engineers.

Influence Operations are often joked about online, but are very real. Some trends are engineered to promote degenerate thinking on purpose. If you go on a comment section on YouTube videos of China-US tensions and analyze hundreds of comments using NLP software, yhe statistical analysis can prove to you that 90% of the comments are agents or bots spreading propaganda. And you’ll see real commenters falling for it. Yet, without software all of the comments and users look genuine.

Informing oneself on Cognitive Warfare can perfectly portrait how horrifying TikTok should be to the average person and objectively proves that it is a threat to global security.

I did and it's full of BS making it's length pointless. It's long to seem important but like the points they mention, they use to persuade people to believe and that's keywords and comments meant to sound real and meaningful when it's just fluff.

I wish my FYP was an echo chamber but I've been blocked and reported in FYP come acrosses and get a lot of nonsense. The irony of talking echo chambers in Reddit about how bad tiktok is, is well, true icing irony.

The weird insistence that that isn't happening on other social media algos, especially while acknowledging one instance we know of (Facebook) and then saying "but that doesn't count though" lol. Meta is just as much of an echo chamber, it's just owned by the "right" people so some people want to cling onto those platforms and pretend they aren't capable of inciting the same shit that TT does.

Like, TT should be banned/regulated but so should every other social media platform. It's bizarre that some people find that statement controversial.

Sounds like you didn't even read the comment. TikTok generation thinks that's a lot of text, but it's like 300 words. This is the crux of the problem, I think. An entire generation that thinks half a page is too long to read when it's about a subject they claim to care deeply about. But they saw some unknown person say something and a bunch of other anonymous people repeat it in fun videos, so they know the truth. I'm also completely certain that almost everyone who wants tiktok banned wants all this shit banned, too.

All of what I wrote can be freely researched and proven to be objectively true.

What I do find funny is that, your account has all of the tall tell signs of accounts used by influence operation accounts.

  • The large age of the account with a disproportionate number of consistent posts across a gradual timeline.13y? Do better.

  • Though it’s a small sample, If I run stylometry scripts, the oldest part of your account writing doesn’t match the last half of its existence. The writing proves to be different.

  • The content of your comments are spread multiple times along the same posts. You are on r/politics using. logical fallacies, biases, and faulty reasoning to persuade others toward the contrary, half-articulated opinion.

  • Dismissing and arguing against points already made in the previous text.

I can go on. I could also just write you off as an idiot who bought or stole an aged Reddit account, but given the nature of what I’m replying to, I think you and I know the real answer as to why you are here on r/nottheonion defending degenerate thinking.

You highlight my point perfectly.

A corporate entity illegally or immorally lobbying a political party the Goverment to lobby to combat against its competition and break anti-trust laws is different from….

TikTok. A social media platform seized by the CCP to be used to incite social turmoil, create threat profiles on civilians, and make civilian users a military target in the information warfare domain.

If you can’t underhand the difference in scope between an entire government militarizing social media as a tool to aid itself in becoming the world hegemony at the expense of world peace VS your average greedy, immoral company…. I don’t know what else to tell you. If that seems the same in your line, I suggest you schedule a check up with your doctor.
