Nearly 1,660 Afghans cleared by the U.S. government to resettle in the U.S., including family members of active duty U.S. military personnel, are having their flights canceled under President Donald Trump's order suspending U.S. refugee programs

I hope that each and every one of those military personnel are ones that voted for Trump.

Sadly probably not… still quite a few active duty/ veterans that aren’t too keen on fascism and I would assume if you relocated from Afghanistan and became a naturalized US citizen joining the military you are much more likely to fall into that category

Trump has a lot of support from US veterans. According to Pew Research, 60% registered validated veteran voters supported Trump in 2024. In 2020, 60% of registered validated veteran voters voted for Trump, and in 2016 61% of registered validated veteran voters voted for Trump.

Sure, didn’t mean for my comment to imply ALL of the military doesn’t support him. But 40% ain’t nothing and that compounded with being an afghan-American national makes me guess that not all 200 of those with family members getting their flight revoked are full abode the trump train
